Wedding dresses Gzhel. Wedding in Gzhel style. Images of newlyweds at a Gzhel wedding

The bride's preparations took place in a suite at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The laconic interiors successfully emphasized the style of the wedding, which was based on two colors: blue and white - the colors that have been used to decorate dishes in Rus' since ancient times. From time immemorial Gzhel appreciated, and the region is famous for its pottery to this day. Therefore, it was decided to hold the wedding of Artem and Anastasia according to Russian traditions.

Professional stylists carefully worked out the images of the newlyweds so that they corresponded to the concept of the wedding. This was evident both in the outfits of the young couple and in the bride’s bouquet, the blue ribbon of which decorated the accessory and placed the necessary accents, echoing the color of the groom’s suit. This technique is now at the peak of popularity.

According to all the rules of floral filling of the celebration, the boutonniere complemented the image of the groom, making the image complete, and was a logical continuation of the newlyweds’ accessories. It was made in the same style as the bride's bouquet and was also tied with a blue ribbon.

The groom's outfit was chosen from bright blue material in combination with a snow-white shirt - these colors, due to the contrast, are one of the most relevant in the wedding theme.

All wedding accessories and souvenirs for guests were made by hand and created individually for the newlyweds' wedding. These include plates, place cards, napkins, and props for a photo shoot - everything was done in the same Gzhel style.

The candy bar was decorated with a rich indigo tablecloth. The treats were served in accordance with the wedding colors - white marshmallows, ivory macaroons and blue and white cake pops.

On the eve of the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds walked around the city and enjoyed their feelings.

The ceremony took place in the open air against the backdrop of the Moscow City complex, which added a special flavor to the event.

The wedding day ended with a festive banquet. Each table had its own original name.

The table setting was made in traditional colors of Gzhel ceramics painting. She also decorated the tables. Napkin holders, candlesticks, vases - all of this looked cozy, and most importantly - it brought freshness to the wedding celebration!

The beginning of the banquet was kept in the original Russian traditions. This is an abundance of dishes, a lot of cold appetizers, toasts to the health and happiness of the young and, of course, fun - in Rus' they have always been able to do this!

As gifts, the guests received plates in the Gzhel style, as a sign of memory of the wedding of the newlyweds.

Just look at the wedding cake! How magnificent he is! At the top are swans. In Rus' this bird was revered, and this symbol meant nobility and becoming.

The highlight of the holiday was the moment of throwing the bride's bouquet and garter. Instead of a garter, the groom threw in one of his most prized possessions - a scarf from his favorite Malaga football team.

According to traditions, the newlyweds cut the cake together - as a sign of agreement in everyday life and married life!

The celebration was crowned by the launch of glowing balloons. And here everything was thought out based on the general style of the celebration - the white balloons against the dark blue sky looked truly romantic! Bitterly!

The true wealth and history of each country lies in centuries-old traditions and art. The Gzhel style refers precisely to such intangible treasures, and it still does not lose its popularity. Some young people are so inspired by the history of their people that they decide to organize a wedding in the Gzhel style, joining the great culture.

The bride and groom can organize the celebration on their own; for this they will need to think about the venue, decor, outfits and many other details. If you don’t want to do everything yourself, then you can entrust the design of a wedding in the Gzhel style to specialists.

Peculiarities

The name Gzhel originally referred to a region of Russia consisting of several settlements. Then the clay products of the artisans who lived in this area became famous throughout the country, and the name became a household name for the whole style. Despite the fact that the first mentions of this art form date back to the 14th century, Gzhel is still popular, not only among Russians, but also abroad. Even in the USA, some couples arrange a wedding in this style.

Main features of the style:

  • White background;
  • blue patterns;
  • floral ornament or ethnic motifs;
  • if necessary, gold outline of parts;
  • handmade.

Even if you decorate your wedding using only white and blue, you can create a unique atmosphere. It will look original, festive and rich, while most of the decorations can be created yourself or found in family closets or in the attic. If you don’t find anything from Gzhel in your house, you can go to any market or flea market - there will definitely be suitable decorative elements at low prices.

When choosing this style for organizing their wedding, the bride and groom can go one of two ways - choose or present the celebration in an elegant light, borrowing only characteristic shades and patterns. Depending on this, the design details and images will vary. In any case, a wedding in the Gzhel style should be bright and full of entertainment. The atmosphere should be romantic and natural.

Hall decoration and general decor

You need to set the right tone for the wedding during its preparation; for this you will need to send out or personally hand out invitations to guests. Postcards need to be decorated in accordance with the chosen style - Gzhel. The wedding decoration will be in harmony with them. pick up thick white cards and hand-paint them with a blue ornament of leaves, flowers and other characteristic elements.

If the bride and groom do not want to practice painting, you can order a suitable invitation design from a printing house. The finished cards can be placed in an envelope decorated in the same style and tied with a gold ribbon.

Then the future newlyweds will need to choose a venue for the celebration. A banquet hall decorated in a rustic style is suitable for this.

If you are planning a wedding in the Gzhel style, the design of the hall and decor must be selected carefully. Those who only want to use shades characteristic of the theme should opt for an establishment decorated in blue or white, and then complement it with suitable decorative elements.

Interesting! You can have a wedding; an area near a lake or on a forest edge is suitable for this.

Regardless of the location of the celebration, it is decorated the same way. The walls and ceiling should be decorated with drapery made of translucent fabrics in white and blue. Gzhel motifs should be present on tablecloths and chair covers, but the ornament should be used in moderation so as not to overload the atmosphere and not create ripples in the eyes.

It is best to choose thematic dishes, since it was the art of pottery that Gzhel masters were famous for. The only exception concerns glasses - they can be transparent. If you use regular white dishes, then you should put blue napkins under them. If desired, they can be folded into the shape of a bird or a rose and placed on plates. Trust the professionals to design your wedding in the Gzhel style; photos from such a celebration will warm your soul for a long time.

To create the desired atmosphere, you can use the following attributes in the Gzhel style:

It is worth considering separately. This could be an old manor, a museum, a city park or a forest path around a lake. A tea party for the newlyweds in the lap of nature using a set painted in the Gzhel style will look organic, especially if it is arranged in winter. In this case, you additionally need to choose a white shawl, hat and muff for the bride and boots in the traditional Russian style for the groom. If a wedding in the Gzhel style is organized correctly, the photos from the holiday will turn out unusually beautiful.

Outfits of the newlyweds and guests

For a wedding in the Gzhel style, the bride can choose a dress with a traditional ornament or even in the ancient Russian style. There is another option - choose a classic white wedding dress and diversify it with blue details - a belt, shoes, a bouquet and a clutch.

Some brides manage to combine both options, for example, choosing an A-line lace dress, similar to the 19th century style, with a pattern characteristic of Gzhel. Modern white models with an insert at the back in the form of a blue ornament or with the same corset look original.

After buying a dress. If it has a frequent pattern, then it is better to choose plain shoes so as not to overload the image. On the contrary, if the dress is white with blue details, then you can complement the look with patent leather shoes with a Gzhel-style ornament. For the winter season, it is recommended to choose white boots in the Russian style with a blue pattern.

Regardless of the style and color of the dress, the bride's hairstyle should be simple but feminine. Light, slightly careless styles of curls or straight hair are suitable. If you are planning a wedding in the traditional Russian Gzhel style, then the bride can make one or several braids; satin ribbons or white and blue flowers can be woven into them. You can use a classic veil or replace it with a wreath.

Important! If you are planning a wedding in a church, the bride needs to choose a suitable headscarf or veil in the Gzhel style.

Makeup also should not stand out particularly against the background of a romantic image. Pale blue shadows or eyeliner in the form of thin arrows are suitable for the eyelids; you can apply lipstick of a natural color to the lips. To create the image of a Russian beauty, you can add a light blush. The manicure can be made plain white or blue, or you can use the Gzhel ornament in the design.

The bride's bouquet should also be composed of flowers in a characteristic style. If there are no problems with the white tint, then you will have to look. The florist salon will help you create the desired composition of roses, calla lilies or orchids. In spring and summer, you can use wild or seasonal flowers to create a bouquet - hydrangea, irises, phlox, lavender, etc.

The groom's outfit will depend on the bride's choice. Black trousers, a white shirt with a blue ornament, a sash and boots of the same shade will suit the traditional Russian style. For a modern celebration, the groom can choose any classic blue suit and white shirt.

Guests can choose any outfit that differs in color from the images of the newlyweds. To dilute the blue and white palette, guests can wear dresses and suits in matching colors. You can also choose pastel shades of blue. For a wedding in the folk Gzhel style, traditional Russian outfits are suitable.

Gzhel style is one of the modern trends in wedding fashion, so you can get ideas for organization from the latest thematic magazines. In addition to basic preparations, the bride and groom should take care of the following organizational issues:

Anyone can organize a wedding in the Gzhel style, because the basis of the design is patterns that are familiar to everyone from childhood. Such a celebration will not only be a tribute to the traditions of Russian culture, but also a fashionable decision. Future newlyweds can independently organize such a holiday as a wedding in the Gzhel style - the design and photos from the wedding will reflect their refined and elegant taste.

There are an endless number of wedding decoration styles. Recently, styles that refer to traditional Russian art have been gaining popularity in Russia. Weddings in the Gzhel style can also be considered a peculiar squeak of recent years. At first glance, this may seem like a very dubious choice, but in fact, it turns out to be very interesting.

And the reason for this is this. The combination of white and azure looks great; it is no coincidence that our ancestors liked it so much that they began to make traditional ceramics in this color. And these are common enough colors that your guests won't have a hard time finding the right accessories to complement the overall ambiance.

And everything is fine with the dresses too. On the one hand, there are already quite a lot of manufacturers on the market who make specially white dresses with large blue embroidery specifically for Gzhel-style weddings.

On the other hand, you don’t have to completely repeat the style itself, it’s enough to match it in scale. Moreover, there are many more ways where these motives can be emphasized.

Of course, the first thing that naturally suggests itself is themed dishes on the tables. You can limit yourself to only plates, but you can also find everything else, right down to cutlery (usually inserts are made on the handles). Nameplates are also designed in this style.

In addition, the entire room is decorated in the right colors, and you can find the same tablecloths. It’s better to choose a white car for this case; you can even paint it with patterns using water-soluble children’s paints (then just wash it off in a car wash).

Wedding fashion is gradually moving away from the classics, stereotypes and templates. And most of those couples who adhere to the traditional style bring something new to it, in line with modern trends. A wedding in the Gzhel style is a fashion trend that is increasingly gaining popularity not only in Russia, but also in the West. Colorful Russian blue and white motifs have become a favorite among wedding decorators from all over the world. If you want to make your holiday in Gzhel style, then first of all take care of the dresses of the young people and the decoration of the banquet hall.

The image of the newlyweds for a wedding in Gzhel style

Gzhel wedding is a celebration performed in Russian folk style. Since its main colors are white and blue, you can’t do without them when creating suits for the bride and groom. When planning a holiday of this theme, young people should notify the guests in advance so that they have the opportunity to choose suitable outfits taking into account these requirements. And before choosing costumes with Gzhel motifs, the bride and groom must decide whether they want to recreate ancient traditional outfits or decorate modern models with ethno-patterns.

Bridal dress

Girls who want to hold a celebration in the Gzhel style should consider not only dress options with white and blue embroidered patterns, but also any classic models. They can be supplemented with a suitable accessory for the theme: a scarf, handbag, belt. Moreover, a wedding dress can be classic or unique, tailored to order and introducing Gzhel elements into the product. All components of the image, starting with shoes, ending with hairstyle and manicure, must correspond to the overall style of the bride. However, you should not weigh down the suit with a large number of decorative details.

Suit for the groom

Traditionally, at a wedding, the bride should be the brighter one; all eyes are on her, but the groom often has a more restrained image. However, having decided on the Gzhel style, young people can deviate from this rule, making both images equally colorful and bright. And yet, a man must give up the right of first choice to his beloved, and choose an outfit to match himself. If the bride chose a folk style with traditional Gzhel embroidery, then the groom should wear either a shirt and trousers, or a classic suit with a stylized tie or bow tie.

The young man has a much smaller choice of wedding clothes than the bride, but there are always alternative options. The Russian kosovorotka is an excellent solution if the bride preferred a simple ethnic sundress. If the girl’s image is more formal and solemn, then the man should not dress in a rustic style. Don’t be afraid to experiment with looks; you can opt for a classic suit in a dark or light tone, a white shirt and a colorful sleeveless vest. A watch with a Gzhel ornament will be an appropriate, practical purchase and will remind you of a happy day.

Wedding decoration ideas in Gzhel style

A wedding in the Gzhel style is imbued with folk traditions and filled with the colorful atmosphere of Russian villages. For many, the word “Gzhel” is associated with the beauty of porcelain, for which the Moscow region craftsmen were famous. Young people who are close to this palette celebrate their marriage in blue and white colors. Traditional motifs of Gzhel painting are flowers (cornflowers, roses, bells), herbs, and other plants. Patterns made in white and blue colors will be the basis of the wedding concept.

Invitations for guests

When the newlyweds decide on their wedding day, guests should be invited. To do this, you will need invitation cards that match the style. Since the celebration will take place in a truly Russian way, the cards should contain elements of Russian themes. Cones, nesting dolls, berries, painted scarves, gingerbread cookies, rolls, samovars with dried bread, pancakes, lollipops, etc. are suitable for decorating them. A good and budget option would be a simple soft card made of thin smooth paper, made in Gzhel style, rolled into a tube and tied with a blue ribbon.

Banquet hall decor

When choosing a banquet hall for a Gzhel wedding, it is better to choose a venue made in Russian folk style - with wooden furniture, samovars, stuffed animals on the walls. Otherwise, rent a regular restaurant and decorate it. Everything is clear with the color scheme - Gzhel implies the use of white, blue and light blue. Choose suitable tablecloths, vintage dishes, banquet cards, napkins, flowers in vases, and other decorative elements. Develop a menu, seating plan, place table numbers.

If the newlyweds decide to have a Gzhel wedding, then the atmosphere in the banquet hall should be appropriate. A celebration performed in this style looks very beautiful and original. Thanks to the abundance of traditional details that Russian culture is rich in, your wedding has the opportunity to become very bright and will be remembered by guests for a long time. Famous masters created not only dishes, but also decorative panels and dishes. So why not decorate the hall with them? Since the epicenter of the holiday is largely the festive tables, their decoration requires special attention.

Decoration of festive tables

Traditional Russian souvenirs - samovars, towels, nesting dolls - are useful for decorating wedding tables. Remember that the main colors for decoration should be white and blue (blue), so vases, dishes, cutlery and tablecloths must contain Gzhel painting or be in thematic colors. Banquet tables should be decorated with white or blue candles, napkins, and vases with colorful wildflowers. Place cards can also contain Gzhel paintings.

The ideal option for this type of wedding would be to order dishes made in Gzhel. However, ordinary white porcelain dishes with gold will also be a suitable option for the holiday. The bride, if she has creative abilities, can hand-paint bottles of champagne (moonshine), glasses, money boxes, and napkin rings with Gzhel or make stylized decoupage.

The bride's bouquet

A suitable bouquet would be a composition of different varieties of fresh flowers with a superior number of wild flowers. If a Gzhel-style wedding takes place in winter, it is better to give preference to frost-resistant varieties of flowers or create a bouquet of rowan branches - it will perfectly complement the image of the bride and contrast with her outfit. Handmade artificial buds created using marble, clay or paper look original and stylish. They are no less beautiful than natural ones, but they do not fade or break.

A wedding cake

A sweet culinary masterpiece will be the highlight of the wedding celebration. The shape of a cake for a Gzhel wedding can be completely different: round, square, rectangular. Baking can be single-tiered or have several steps. The main thing is that the cake follows the main motifs and is delicious. An original alternative to the cake (or an addition to it) can be traditional Russian sugar gingerbread cookies or modern cupcakes decorated with cream of the appropriate color.

Wedding photo shoot in Russian in Gzhel style

For a photo shoot of the bride and groom who have chosen the Gzhel style for their wedding look, they will only need a beautiful winter or summer landscape, because their unusual, stylish appearance does not require additional paraphernalia. However, you can find a more interesting place for wedding photography. In some cities there are specialized institutions representing national culture. They will be an ideal solution for holding competitions (for example, bride price) and photo shoots.

A wedding in Gzhel style can be very stylish and unusual. Such a celebration will be like the most wonderful Russian folk tale, imbued with national flavor and amazing traditions. The great advantage of a wedding in the Gzhel style is that at any time of the year it will certainly be bright and original. The highlight of this stylized wedding is the use of an exquisite combination of floral designs and deep blue and formal white colors.

The wedding dresses of the newlyweds should, of course, be stylized to resemble Russian folk crafts. A festive snow-white sundress or a light, airy dress with blue thread embroidery will suit the bride. Instead of a traditional veil, you can wear a painted kokoshnik. The bride's manicure (or rather, nail design) would also be appropriate to design with a white and blue floral pattern. As accessories, white and blue beads, a bracelet or earrings are perfect, but it is still advisable to opt for just one thing, so as not to overdo it with the details. The groom will wear a white embroidered shirt and trousers tucked into stylized blue boots with curved toes.

In invitations designed in the form of painted nesting dolls or plates in the Gzhel style, you should definitely ask guests to comply with the dress code, and then the holiday will become even more special and unforgettable.

A Russian restaurant with wooden decoration or a country estate with an open area for celebration can be a wonderful place for a wedding banquet. With the help of thoughtful details, you can create the atmosphere of a real Russian fairy tale. The room can be decorated with stylized scarves, kokoshniks, decorative plates and cutting boards, colorful ribbons, felt boots and brooms, bundles of bagels and folk musical instruments.

The Russian feast is famous for its large scale, generous treats and endless fun. It is impossible to imagine tables without a samovar, bagels and lollipops. Festive tables should be set with dishes, cutlery and napkins in the Gzhel style. Painted plates and cutlery, amazing sets for drinks and serving dishes will make the holiday unforgettable. The best gift for such a wedding would be in gold with a signature in gold letters “On the Wedding Day to dear newlyweds!”

As for the entertainment program, there will be no shortage of Russian amusements. Guests will enjoy telling fortunes with a daisy, performing round dances and endless streams, braiding each other’s hair, painting plates in a blue and white palette, singing ditties, playing on wooden spoons, and carrying rocker arms with buckets. For a walk, you can ride a troika with bells, and in winter you can even have fun playing snowballs or sledding down the hill.

A wedding in the Gzhel style is a mischievous and incredibly beautiful ethnic celebration that pays tribute to Russian traditions.
