Thus, everyone who worked in this area at the end of the USSR celebrated the holiday every third Sunday in March. According to the latest presidential decree of 2013, Housing and Communal Services Day is a separate date and is also celebrated separately from Trade Workers Day.

The question of creating a structure that would serve the public utilities of a large country arose with the coming to power of the Bolsheviks. It was necessary to somehow manage this whole collapsing economy, and at least patch up the holes as we moved towards a brighter future. Back in 1917, when no one had yet celebrated Housing and Communal Services Day, the sector itself began to actively develop. True, the level of training and professionalism of the then workers left much to be desired. Having worked his way up from a mechanic for the operation and repair of gas equipment to a senior foreman for the operation and repair of gas control stations, Pyotr Alekseevich established himself as a highly qualified, responsible specialist and demanding leader and never once doubted the correctness of his choice of profession.
Today, Pyotr Alekseevich continues active work on the long-term development and modernization of production, aimed at the safe operation of the gas industry. With his direct participation, over the past five years, the reconstruction of more than 50 gas control points and more than 20 cabinet control points has been carried out. It promotes innovative technologies, the use of energy-efficient and energy-saving solutions, and provides assistance in training young specialists. In 2010, Pyotr Alekseevich took an active part in the implementation of the responsible government task of moving the “Eternal Flame” to Poklonnaya Hill, reconstruction of the largest gas control stations “Ochakovo”, “Shchukino”, “Cherkizovo”, “Teply Stan”, “Yuzhnaya”.
For Pyotr Alekseevich, the Mayor’s gratitude is a high award for which he has been working towards all his life.
