Plasticine gnome. Summary of game educational situations on modeling in the preparatory group for school “Cheerful Dwarf” outline of a lesson on appliqué, modeling (preparatory group) on the topic. Materials and tools for the master class "Gnome made of plastic"

Children love to sculpt fairy-tale characters from plasticine. We invite you to make a kind fairy-tale old man - a gnome - together with your child. This magical character is very often found in fairy tales. And while doing the craft, you can tell your child that Scandinavian peoples used to believe in the existence of gnomes and considered them spirits of the mountains. According to their legends and myths, gnomes were the first to learn how to use metal and find precious stones, but gnomes were not friends with people. But in fairy tales of our days, magical gnomes have come to the aid of the main characters more than once!

To create a fairytale gnome from plasticine you will need:

  • Plasticine;
  • Stacks;
  • Toothpicks (or matches).

Plasticine can be taken in different colors, for example, the main colors are black, blue and red. Yellow, green, and white are suitable for decorating small details. For the head, it is better to take a little flesh-colored plasticine. You can prepare it yourself by mixing orange (brown) and white colors until smooth.

For the head, prepare a beige plasticine ball 2-3 centimeters in diameter.

We draw the face of the gnome. For the eyes we use small white balls. We highlight the pupils with blue plasticine. We make the eyebrows from white plasticine, and the nose is a beige oval sausage.

We add a white mustache and beard to our gnome. To make the prepared parts more similar, draw hairs in a stack. And of course, wrinkles, because gnomes are magical old men!

Every self-respecting gnome should have a hat. Let's make a headdress for our gnome. From red plasticine we make a cone, the top of which is bent to the side. Draw the folds in a stack and add a pompom from a yellow ball. The ears become two small oval sausages, flattened on one edge.

To top it off, we attach the gray hair to the back of the head along the edge of the hat. To do this, prepare a thin sausage, flatten it slightly and draw hairs in a stack. The finished head can be set aside.

To create the body, take blue plasticine. Roll it into a ball with a diameter of 4-5 centimeters. We pluck out the “skirt” from the lower edge of the body with our fingers.

Attach arms made from blue sausages to the body. The outfit is completed with a black belt with a “golden” plaque. For the belt, prepare a thin long sausage, onto which a flattened yellow ball is attached. Instead of a neck, insert a match or toothpick into the upper part of the body.

For the gnome's legs we take black plasticine. Roll out two sausages for each leg. One of them is thinner - this is a trouser leg, the other is thicker - this is a gnome's boot. We shape the top of the boot by flattening plasticine in a circle. It turns out to be a bootleg. We connect the parts with a match (toothpick).

Important! From the leg blank on the side of the trouser leg, you need to leave the tip of a match sticking out about 1-1.5 centimeters long. With its help, the legs are attached to the body.

We connect the body and legs of the gnome.

And finally, the head! We install it on the prepared match neck. We make the hands from beige plasticine. For them, we prepare two small beige balls, highlighting the fingers using a stack. Or maybe your gnome is wearing mittens?

I greet you!

And, if you are ready -

Let's start sculpting now!

Introductory conversation

But first guess

Who came to us, friends?

Interesting riddle

I'll tell you a wish:

Lives in caves underground,

He's wearing a cap and a beard,

He knows Snow White

Have you guessed it? This. (Dwarf)

View the video sequence.

Where do gnomes live?

What do they look like?

What are they doing?

What tools and tools do they have?

So that our gnome is not lonely, let's make him hardworking friends.

Preparing hands for work. Self-massage of hands and fingers.

Physical education minute:

Once upon a time there lived a little gnome(sat down, stood up)

With a big cap(stretched arms up, joined palms)

He was a dwarf traveler.(hands on waist, steps in place)

He rode on a frog: Jump-jump, qua-qua!(jump)

And he flew on a dragonfly:(we wave our hands)

Wow, high! (stand on tiptoes)

Floated along the stream in a tea cup:(we swim in any style)

Glug-glug-glug

He rode on a turtle:(hands on the belt and stomp in place)

Top-top-top!

And, having trodden all the paths,

He was swinging in a cobweb(sway from side to side)

Bye-bye! Bye-bye! (hands under ear)

Morning will come (arms up, to the sides, down)

The gnome will go on a hike again!(steps in place)

Modeling show

We sit down at the tables and begin to sculpt a gnome.

We choose the color of the pants and make two sausages for the legs. Roll a brown shoe ball and turn it into an oval. Now you can connect the shoes and pants. A rectangular shape of any color is suitable for the body, attach it to the pants, add sausage sleeves and hands. All that remains is to sculpt the head. We roll a light orange ball, attach eyes from small balls, a beard from a white cake, a smile from a sausage, and a hat from a droplet. Add clothing details: buttons, bubo on the hat, etc.

Modeling a gnome

Guys, let's get to work (individual assistance to preschoolers with difficulties).

Whoever finishes sculpting puts the work away for the exhibition.

Organization of the exhibition

Look what beautiful gnomes you have made, they are all so different.

You did a great job!

Yaroslav made the pants very beautifully.

Angela's lips turned out very bright and unusual.

Today, the neatest ones were Nastya, Arina, and Sonya.

Well done!

Reflection

Guys, what did we do today?

What new did you learn?

What was the hardest thing?

Did you like the lesson?

And what did you like?

Result:

Today we made funny gnomes. You all tried very hard, put a piece of your heart into your works, warmed us with the warmth of your hands, now your crafts will delight your parents at the exhibition for a long time.

Goodbye

Even if you had a suburban area 20-30 years ago, few people thought about landscape design. The main thing is to cultivate the land and get a harvest of vegetables and fruits for preservation. Today everything has changed dramatically, and people want to see the site not only useful, but also beautiful. For example, hand-made garden gnomes and other landscape decorations can give the site a completely new look.

In addition to them, it is also customary today to have alpine slides, rose gardens, garden fountains and colorful flower beds with rose gardens. Not only the thematic landscape, but individual figures are of interest. We’ll talk about them further in the article, in which you’ll learn about the specifics of their use, as well as how to make garden gnomes for your site yourself.

Features of use

Garden figures today make it possible to give a suburban area a special appeal. Perhaps it is the echoes of our childhood that have such an influence on creating the atmosphere.

Therefore, very often their owners order:

  • fairy-tale gnomes, who, according to legend, protect their peace, sometimes their price can be decent;
  • other characters from familiar works - frogs or snails for the pond, as well as birds.

Tip: Use your creativity to create a real fairy tale that will be the highlight of your garden.

Basics

Simple decor You can purchase ready-made garden figures made of plaster or polystone, although it is more interesting to make them yourself. You will learn below how to make a garden gnome with your own hands when you read the article to the end. Agree, it’s unlikely that anyone will have exactly these figures after this.
Impression Don’t rush to buy figurines for the garden; first think about what impression they will create about yourself. Should it be placed in the center or should it be an unexpected surprise for guests, watching them from behind a tree or corner. Think about the figurine's appearance—cheerful, playful, calm, or relaxing.
Compatibility It is necessary to pay attention to the compatibility of buildings and garden. For example, if the latter is often used for:
  • official meetings, you can use classical sculptures from mythology in it, most often they are Cupid and Psyche. In open areas at the intersection of paths, install fountains, sundials or something similar;
  • In an informal garden, you should take a different approach to choosing shapes so that they don't look out of place. Therefore, it is better to exclude figurines in the oriental style or a bust of Macedon.

Additional

In addition to the basic concepts, you should not forget about:

  1. Garden style. For example, German gnomes, which have become symbols of such areas since the end of the 19th century, will look interesting in country style. Oddly enough, they symbolize our scarecrow. In addition to gnomes, it would be appropriate to include animals with birds and fairy-tale characters.

Tip: do not forget, when creating a composition it is very important not to overdo it with the figures.

  1. The size of the territory, as well as your own financial capabilities. Therefore, for a small garden you should not choose large sculptures that will clutter up the space, which is already small. In this case, small decorations will simply get lost in a large garden.

  1. A sense of proportion when making a choice. Garden figurines are suitable for emphasizing natural details such as snags, stumps, tree roots, alpine slides, ponds and streams. Fairy-tale characters are a good way to decorate children's play areas.

Preparing materials for a garden gnome

We will make it from papier-mâché, so prepare paper egg trays, of which you will need a lot.

Below are instructions for the process:

  1. Tear them and put them in a plastic bucket, and then fill them completely with boiling water and leave the mass to swell for 24 hours.
  2. Drain off the remaining water and use your hands to grind the resulting mass into a homogeneous dough.. You can also use a fork or a mixer to work. Then add a little PVA glue, then the mass will turn out plastic.

Tip: transfer papier-mâché that is too liquid into cheesecloth and hang it over a container so that excess water can drain into it.

  1. Cover the table with newspapers or plastic wrap. Prepare a 5-liter plastic bottle for the figure’s body and a rubber (plastic) ball for the head. Secure the structure with glue or wire, and pour sand or gravel into the bottle for stability.
  2. Find some old small rubber gloves and fill them with foam.. Wait until it swells and hardens. The soles of the shoes can be made from foam plastic, and the shoes themselves can be sculpted from papier-mâché.
  3. Small plastic bottles work well as the basis for shoes.. All you have to do is cut them near the neck, bend it and secure it with adhesive tape. Fill the bottle with foam and cover it with papier-mâché on top.

Making a figurine of a gnome

Cover the structure with paper pulp, applying it in thin layers and drying each one. Form the face of a figure with a beard, while a tennis ball cut in half or beads will do for the eyes. Make a hat.

Stepping back a third from the bottom, mold the bottom of the shirt; usually it is made wavy, but it can also be straight. The remaining part will become panties if you draw a vertical furrow along it.

You can sculpt the arms in the shirt separately, and then attach them to the body, or directly make them on the figurine. Now we will need blanks made of polyurethane foam from gloves to form the hands. Then attach the prepared shoes.

The gnome figurine needs to be dried and then sanded with sandpaper. To protect it from moisture, it should be impregnated with a moisture-resistant primer, and then covered with acrylic putty and primed again.

For painting, use acrylic paints, and apply yacht varnish as the last layer. After this, the gnome can be placed in the garden. You can upgrade it by providing the ability to install a flashlight in his hand with a solar battery. In this case, your evening garden will have little lighting.

Conclusion

Landscape design is an interesting and creative activity that can add originality to your site. In the article you learned one of the ways to make a garden gnome figurine, but it can also be made from plaster. The video in this article will help you find additional information on this topic.

  • plasticine purple, blue, light green, white, light pink, red, yellow, black

Make a narrow strip of yellow plasticine and wrap it around your waist, leaving a small piece hanging in front.

Roll out a very thin and short sausage from black plasticine, and separate a third from it. Bend the larger part into a semi-oval shape and glue it to the belt where the free end hangs. Attach the remaining piece in the middle of the arc.

Roll 2 small purple sausages - arms, bend a little in the middle, carefully mark the elbows.

Attach the arms into the indentations on the torso.

Roll out a thick sausage from lettuce plasticine, bend it in the middle, smooth the fold - these are the legs.

Attach the legs to the torso of the shirt, under the "skirt".

Roll a ball for the head from light pink plasticine and press it a little on one side to form a protrusion. Attach the head to the body.

Shape the nose into an oval. Flatten the plasticine thinly at one end and attach it to the head, on the front - protruding - part.

Using white plasticine, fashion a beard in the shape of a triangle. One corner should be elongated and slightly curved, and the opposite side should be bent inward. Attach the beard to your head.

Roll a small sausage out of white plasticine, sharpen its edges, and make it very thin in the middle. This is a mustache. Attach them under your nose.

Make a white thick “pancake” and stick it on top of your head, bending it to the shape of your head - this is the hair.

Fashion a hat from red plasticine - an irregularly shaped cone, the top of which is slightly curved and the bottom is bent inward.

All kids love watching cartoons and listening to fairy tales about gnomes. Little fairy-tale people wearing large caps on the tops of their heads have won the hearts of many children, and therefore we invite you to make a funny gnome from plasticine. Each author portrays these characters in his own way; besides, gnomes can be either kind and cheerful or gloomy and evil.

Let's prepare the necessary tools and start sculpting a gnome:

  • plasticine in bright colors;
  • skewer for creating texture and drawing small details;
  • stack.

How to make a gnome from plasticine

Step 1. First we need to create a large cap. To sculpt it, a child can choose any shade of plasticine he likes. We will create a hat from a dark green block. Knead the block and roll it into a cone-shaped piece. We stretch out its edges, making them thinner. Bend the tip of the cap.

Step 2. Now we attach the body of the gnome to the green cap. You can create a base from any piece of mass. Give the selected plasticine an oval shape. We fix the hat on this blank.

Step 3. We sculpt the gnome's beard from white and gray plasticine. Roll the pieces of the prepared mass into droplets.

First we flatten the gray part. We draw an outline at the tip and paste it onto the base, moving 1-2 mm from the edge of the cap.

Then we perform the same manipulations with the second white part. We stick it onto the gray blank.

Step 4. At the junction of the hat and beard, glue on a beige nose in the shape of a ball. From below on the nose we outline the nostrils.

Step 5. Next we need to sculpt a couple of legs and arms of the gnome. Let's make them from a contrasting shade, such as red. And the upper part of the arms will be made of light green plasticine. Roll four small balls from the red mass, and short sausages from the green mass.

Flatten the balls a little. We make cuts on two parts with a stack or a knife. We add green sausages to them. We fix the handles on the gnome's body.

Glue the remaining two balls just below.

Step 6. Let's start drawing the texture. Use a skewer to process the man’s beard, hat, arms and legs. You can draw a simple pattern on the handles.
