New Year is coming soon. You probably already have a Christmas tree. And if not, then you can easily make it yourself. And you definitely need to make such a Christmas tree if you have children! They will love it, no doubt about it!

My seven year old daughter made this tree with virtually no adult help.

Even a 7-year-old child can make a Christmas tree out of tinsel!

True, her younger brother helped her a little; he rolled balls for the Christmas tree out of foil.

But the matter could not have happened without the help of his younger brother...

We didn't just make a Christmas tree, we are participating in the Winter Children's Crafts competition. We craft and play and really hope to receive one of the interesting prizes provided for this competition by the publishing house Mann, Ivanov and Ferber. 🙂

To make a tinsel Christmas tree we will need:

1. tinsel (the color is not important, the main thing is that you like the tinsel);

2. a sheet of cardboard (in our case, these are sketchbook covers, I never throw them away - I generally really like it when all sorts of garbage goes into use);

3. tape (preferably wide);

4. three paper clips (preferably metal ones - they are less noticeable in tinsel);

5. foil cardboard (cardboard from milk or juice packs will do);

6. silver or golden foil (it is not necessary to use new one, for baking or children’s creativity - a wrapper from an eaten chocolate bar is quite suitable);

7. a piece of ribbon, braid or just a beautiful rope (you can take it from the cake);

8. and simple tools: scissors, an awl, a needle and thread, a ballpoint pen (pencil, marker or felt-tip pen).

How to make a Christmas tree from tinsel

Everything is ready, let's start making the Christmas tree. We roll a cone out of cardboard, glue it around the edge with tape and cut it off from the bottom so that the cone stands straight, without distortions. Attention! There should be a small hole left at the top of the cone - this will make it more convenient to attach the tinsel with a paper clip.

1. Make a cone out of cardboard

Then we take tinsel. We wrap the cone with it and secure the ends of the tinsel with two paper clips, at the top and bottom of the cone.

2. Wrap the cone with tinsel

You can pre-lubricate the cone with PVA glue so that the tinsel sticks better. But with us it holds up just fine, doesn’t slip or move out. In addition, when the tinsel is glued, it is not so convenient to attach toys to it. True, you can tie Christmas tree decorations to tinsel in advance, but then an important element of the holiday will disappear - the solemn process of decorating the tree.

3. Secure the tinsel to the cone with two paper clips, top and bottom.

The Christmas tree is ready! All that remains is to decorate it.

You can, of course, take real New Year's toys or your mother's old beads. But we do not follow simple paths. Our Christmas tree is handmade, so we make decorations for the Christmas tree with our own hands. We got three types of toys: flat balls (we cut them from juice and milk cartons), (from the same material) and round balls rolled from foil.

Take a milk carton and cut out pear-shaped balls from it.

4. Cut out Christmas tree decorations from milk cartons

We pierce a hole at the top of our “pear” with an awl. If the child is 7 years old, he can be trusted with such an operation. The main thing is to do this not in weight (so as not to injure yourself with an awl), but on the table, having first placed a thick pack of old newspapers so as not to spoil the table.

Then we take a needle and thread and tie our homemade Christmas tree decoration to the tinsel.

Then we cut out small horseshoes from the same material. We attach them to the tree in the same way.

We take foil from a chocolate bar, twist the balls, pierce them with a needle and thread and tie them to the tinsel.

5. Roll up balls of foil

We decorate the top of the tree with a small silver cone.

6. Make a cone out of foil for the top of the tree

You can make it from chocolate foil or for baking. But we made it from packages of cottage cheese, and we still throw them away. We glue the cone along the edge with tape and attach it with a paper clip to the top of the tree.

We put a gift under the tree. Homemade too!

7. Making a decorative gift for the Christmas tree

Take an empty package of any medicine or a matchbox. We fill it with scraps of garbage left over from making the Christmas tree and Christmas tree decorations, wrap it in foil, and then tie it beautifully with a ribbon and make a bow. Agree, such a gift under the tree greatly decorates our furry beauty.

Putting the finishing touches...

By the way, the version of the tinsel tree turned out to be quite cheap. Our Christmas tree is made almost entirely from scrap materials. I only had to buy tinsel. As a result, the tree cost 59 rubles. And everything else was found at home: regular and foil cardboard, foil from packages of cottage cheese and chocolate, a piece of ribbon, a medicine box, three paper clips and tape.

Here she is, our furry beauty!

Such a Christmas tree can be presented as a gift to a teacher or educator - they will be happy to decorate a class or group with a fluffy beauty. You can put a tinsel tree on the festive table. Or you can decorate the interior of your home with it for the New Year. For example, put a Christmas tree in a room where there is no large New Year tree: in the bedroom, nursery, hallway or kitchen. It won’t take up much space, but will create a New Year’s mood.

A Tale of Snow Hares

We decided to take our Christmas tree to the school where our daughter studies. But since she was very sorry to part with the Christmas tree that she had made with her own hands, they bought more tinsel, and the next evening they made a second Christmas tree, in silver-blue tones.

Our second Christmas tree

Now we have two tinsel trees!

Our needlewoman with her Christmas trees

And the Christmas trees in the forest are intact, and the children are happy! 🙂

We placed this Christmas tree next to the cardboard house that our daughter and I made ourselves, for her favorite toy, the sheep Tsvetochka. Toys gathered at the house to see what we were doing.

And suddenly the sheep said:

– Our New Year is wrong! There's no snow! Look, there is green grass around! I really love the color green, but without snow there is no New Year's mood...

All the toys were sad. And they wanted to go to their houses, drawers and shelves. But then the little bunny Fluffy shouted to them:

- Wait! My mother told me a fairy tale about snow hares. These bunnies can help us!

– Who are snow bunnies? – other toys became interested.

“Snow hares live in the sky,” said the little hare. - You've probably seen them. They look like large snow-white clouds. In summer they are gray, and in winter they are always white and fluffy. Snow bunnies love fun. And most of all they love to sing and dance. When they dance, small white fluffs fall from them, and at this time it snows on the ground.

– How can this fairy tale help us? – asked the little sheep Tsvetochka. - Look at the sky! Do you see? There are no snow bunnies there! There isn't even a single cloud! There won't be any snow! This means there will be no New Year and no fun either! And all the kids will be left without gifts...

The sheep sadly lowered its head and wandered towards its house.

- No! There will be snow! - the little bunny shouted. – You just didn’t listen to the end of the story!

The toys gathered around the tree again.

“So,” the little bunny continued. – Snow bunnies love fun. If they hear joyful laughter and songs somewhere, they immediately rush there. And most of all they love round dances! At this point they just can’t resist starting to dance. And for it to snow, the snow bunnies need to dance.

And all the animals, although they were very sad without the sparkling white snow, stood around the tree in a round dance and began to sing and have fun. Soon they really began to have fun, they danced faster and more fervently...

And then big white clouds appeared in the sky (children dressed in hare costumes galloped up).

Snow bunnies pouring snow

- Look, snow bunnies! - the toys screamed. - It's snowing! The holiday is not cancelled!

(Children cover the roof of the house and the entire space around it with cotton wool, hang fluffy snow on the Christmas tree).

Children cover the house and everything around with snow

- Look how beautiful it has become around! - the toys were delighted. – We have a real New Year!

And everyone sang a cheerful song:

It's snowing, it's snowing!

Let the round dance spin!

Happy New Year to us

brings a lot of joy!

Lots of snow, lots of laughter,

lots of happiness and success!

Snow bunnies danced in the sky above the Christmas tree. They had fun too!

And the snow continued to fall, turning the earth into a fabulous snow-white country...

Our snow bunnies are real magicians! 😉

How to make a Christmas tree with your own hands from plastic bottles - master class with photos and videos

Sometimes we don’t even realize how much unique craft material we have at home! If you and your children often buy bottled water, kvass and lemonade, find out how to make a Christmas tree with your own hands from plastic bottles - a master class with photos and videos will help you with this.

Homemade Christmas tree from plastic bottles - Master class with photos

Having learned how to make an unusual light Christmas tree with your own hands from plastic lemonade bottles and studied this master class with photos and videos, you can easily replace the best substitute for a tree cut down in the forest. Of course, before you start work, you should prepare everything you need in advance, namely:

  • A large number of plastic bottles;
  • Frame for spruce (made of PVC pipe or wooden slats);
  • Wire;
  • Three cans of green and one can of silver paint;
  • Stationery knife;
  • Scissors;
  • Drill or thin drill bit;
  • Electrical tape;
  • Spruce stand.
  1. Assemble the frame for the Christmas tree. Attach plastic corners to a piece of PVC pipe. They will serve as the basis for the side legs of the spruce. Make holes on top of the “legs” (they don’t touch the floor!) and in the middle of the pipe by threading wire through them. Secure it with pliers. Secure the cut top of a plastic bottle between the “legs” - this will make the structure stronger. Secure everything with electrical tape.

  2. Cut off the bottom of the bottles.

  3. Cut the rest of the bottle into “noodles”.

  4. Manually peel the strips away from the neck.

  5. Fold the strips up, cut off the necks of the bottles and paint the blanks with green and silver paints. You can do without paints by initially using multi-colored bottles.

  6. Start assembling the Christmas tree by stringing the pieces, necks up, onto the base. Screw the lids onto the lower legs. Drill holes in them and, using a wire stretched through the hole, secure the structure.

  7. Secure the top of the spruce with wire.

  8. Place the tree in the stand. Decorate it with silver paint and tinsel.

There is very little time left until the New Year! And what would New Year be without a green Christmas tree? Of course, a large and real Christmas tree is very beautiful, but you can also make a small one, which you can put, for example, in the kitchen for decoration or make it one of the components of the New Year's tree.
To make this little green beauty we will need:

  • medium density cardboard;
  • green tinsel with an average diameter of 3-5 cm;
  • small multi-colored pom-poms;
  • super glue or any other glue;
  • scissors;
  • red wrapping paper.
Using scissors, cut out a square of approximately 20x20 centimeters from medium-density cardboard.

Next, we make a cone from this cardboard square and glue its edges using super glue. We trim the bottom of the cone with scissors so that our future Christmas tree stands straight.

At our house we already had a purchased star-bow for the top of the Christmas tree, but you can easily make one yourself from bright red wrapping paper.

And using super glue or double-sided tape, glue the star to the top of the cone.

Then, again, glue one of the ends of the green tinsel onto the glue. We do this right under the asterisk. And we wrap our cone from top to bottom with tinsel. At the bottom, it is again necessary to glue the end of the tinsel, otherwise our Christmas tree will “bloom.”

Well, now the fun part! Decorating our Christmas tree. I recently bought a craft made from pompoms for my eldest son, and after making it we had some extra pompoms left.

In principle, instead of them, you can use anything for decoration, for example, make small bows from narrow satin ribbons or decorate with snowflakes cut out of colored paper. In general, who has enough imagination for what?
Well, we decorated our Christmas tree with multi-colored pompoms, carefully gluing them to the tinsel with super glue in a chaotic manner. And added three silver snowflakes.

Here we have such an elegant little Christmas tree. The child persuaded me to make it the main component of our New Year’s composition for kindergarten on the theme “Winter Fantasy”.

Happy New Year to everyone!

How to make a Christmas tree from tinsel and whatman paper

The first master class will describe the process of making a Christmas tree from whatman paper and tinsel. To work you will need about two meters of tinsel, a sheet of whatman paper, a pencil, scissors and glue.

First of all, on a sheet of whatman paper you need to mark the contours of a circle with a radius of about twenty-five centimeters, but only half of the marked circle should be cut out, because such a semicircular part is needed in order to make the base of the Christmas tree. The edges of the cardboard piece must be overlapped and the seam secured with glue.

After the cardboard base is ready, you need to apply glue to the surface of the base and glue the tinsel in a circle. You can attach beads and bells to tinsel as decorations.

The base can also be made from paper, in which case we will need a sheet of paper, scissors and glue.

First, you need to twist a cone-shaped element from a sheet of paper, which will serve as the base of the tree, and cut off the excess paper so that the future tree is stable. Then you need to apply glue to the surface of the cone and carefully glue the tinsel in dense rows in a circle.

Made from wire and a piece of wood

The second master class will describe step by step how you can make a Christmas tree from wire and tinsel. To work, you will need pieces of wire of different densities, a wooden stand, tinsel and Christmas tree decorations that can be attached as decorations.

First of all, a piece of wire must be fixed in a wooden stand; to do this, make a hole in it and drop a little glue. To form the trunk, it is advisable to use dense wire. To make a frame for future branches, pieces of thin wire must be twisted in the form of a spiral and wrapped around the trunk. Then the tinsel should be secured to a wire frame.

How to make a Christmas tree from tinsel and candies

To work you will need a sheet of cardboard, sweets in bright wrappers, tinsel, tape and scissors.

First, you need to form the base of the future Christmas tree in the shape of a cone from a sheet of cardboard. Then the candies should be attached to the surface of the base using tape in loose rows. Then all the gaps must be closed by wrapping the base with tinsel.

Wall option

In the fourth master class we will talk about how to make a Christmas tree that will look beautiful on the wall. There are two options. The first option is to simply attach tinsel to the wall in the shape of a Christmas tree, securing the bends of the branches using stationery needles. The second option is to make a three-dimensional product. To do this, you will need to cut out the component halves of the Christmas tree from sheets of cardboard, then connect them using a strip of fabric. Then the tinsel must be secured along the edges of the Christmas tree, then inside the contours. You need to make loops on the back of the product so that it can be hung on the wall.
