Isolate a horse diagram with numbers. Lessons and diagrams for creating simple paintings using the isothread technique. What is isothread

The iso-threading technique is simple and interesting; it can make both adults and children fall in love with it. Schemes for creating isothread with numbers are extremely simple even for younger schoolchildren, but at the same time very beautiful and varied in their themes for adults. In our article you will find color schemes with numbers using the isothread technique and schemes with numbers that are intended for children. You can also print out diagrams prepared for you for free for every taste and for any occasion.

The isothread technique is very beautiful and varied, but it, like any handicraft technique, has a number of rules:

  • Do not make knots; secure the corners of the thread with tape or glue on the wrong side.
  • Markings should be made on the wrong side of the product.
  • Make holes with a thin needle from the inside out. If your embroidery requires a thick thread, then make a thick hole on the front side.
  • When making small designs, use a sharp needle and thin thread
  • The smaller the markings, the more refined the pattern
  • The segments must be the same, follow the markings
  • Prepare your cheat sheets, the finished pattern will be much better and easier to see
  • It is best to make the pattern on plain paper, then attach it to the prepared material and pierce holes.
  • Do not use wool threads for embroidery. They do not have the necessary shine and beauty. The drawing will look faded. Shiny threads are best suited for working with iso-threading techniques.
  • At the beginning and at the end of work, fasten the thread especially tightly. If you need to add a piece of thread, secure it with tape on the wrong side of the product.
  • If the thread gets tangled, try to untangle it, do not make knots. Also try to measure the required length of thread. It is very inconvenient to work with a thread that is too long.
  • When finished, try to hide the reverse side of the product. If you did it on cardboard, hide it with a larger cardboard size. If it is a small card, you can cover it with white paper.

Having studied the techniques of isothread and made several figures, you will be able to create your own patterns for the image you like.

We study isothread patterns for children with numbers: we teach children how to perform

The iso-threading technique is so simple that both older kindergarten and primary school children can do it. After teaching a child several elements of embroidery and receiving a picture of interest, the child is able to perform the technique more skillfully than an adult! The only “but”: the diagrams must be prepared by an adult. With a prepared and numbered pattern for children with numbers, you can give the child not a sharp needle, but an embroidery needle with a blunt end.

This technique can serve as an excellent help in preparing for school; it evokes perseverance, interest, and with the proper help and attention of an adult, it will develop the child’s main qualities, such as “I can” and “I did it myself.” For high school students, this technique is perfect as valentines, greeting cards to friends and teachers. Also, this technique helps develop the child’s motor skills, handling a needle, abstract thinking, and the ability to concentrate. Soon the child will begin to come up with new embroidery patterns himself, which will be unexpectedly joyful for the parents and important for the child.

Any picture you like can be turned into the art of isothread embroidery - divided into circles and angles, select the colors you want and begin execution. Create art with children!

Step-by-step master class on creating beautiful flowers with your own hands

In our master class you will find color schemes with numbers using the isothread technique, learn how to perform simple and more complex elements, and also get acquainted with the technique of making other various products. You can also find free schemes suitable for you here.

The diagram is an explanation for making a flower. We embroider the flower in steps of 1 – 10, petals in steps of 1 – 10 and 1 – 13. We sew beads onto the places marked in green. We also embroider the leaves 1 – 10, 1 – 14 and 1 – 12. We embroider the flower trunk in steps 1 – 4.

Diagram – explanation. We embroider the center of the flower in steps of 1 – 10, and sew beads along the contour marked in yellow. We embroider the leaves in steps 1 – 10. The stems, in steps 1 – 3.

Scheme for transferring to embroidery:

Bell

Lotus

Thistles are made using the principle of embroidering an arc with triangles. This type of technique is used when you need to stitch a picture in a fan pattern. Blooming flowers have thickenings that are made using the oval filling technique, just like buds. To complete the thistle, you do not need to fill it completely, but only until the contour closes. The stems are made using regular stitches, and the leaves using the corner filling technique. All elements are made with green threads, except for the thistle flowers - they are made with purple threads.

Dandelion

If you make a flower as in this diagram in a semicircle, then it should be filled in, as in the thistle, with triangles. If you decide to add round flowers, they should be done using simple stitches. The length of these stitches should be equal to the diameter of the circle. The leaves are made using the corner technique. The angle can be any.

Isothread for beginners. Master class with step-by-step photos

Author: Puchkova Maria Vladimirovna,
teacher of fine arts and art and art, MOU "Gymnasium No. 19" in Saransk, Republic of Mordovia

Master class: “Filling a corner using the Isothread technique”

Description: This master class is intended for children from 7 years old, art teachers, additional education teachers, educators, and parents. Course for beginners.

Target: developing skills in working in the “Isothread” technique, mastering the “Filling the Corner” technique.

Tasks: introduce the technique of embroidery on a solid base “Isothread”, develop spatial thinking and fine motor skills.

Materials: a sheet of cardboard, a simple sharpened pencil, a ruler, threads (you can use viscose threads for embroidery, floss, etc.), a needle and an awl.

Safety rules when working with a needle and scissors.
Needles
1. Store needles in a cushion or pincushion, entwined with thread.
2. Do not throw away a broken needle, but put it in a box specially designated for this.
3. Know the number of needles taken for work. At the end of the work, check for their presence.
4. During operation, stick needles into the pad, do not put them in your mouth, do not stick them into clothes, soft objects, walls, curtains. Do not leave the needle in the product.
5. Do not sew with a rusty needle. It stains and may break.

Scissors
1. Store scissors in a specific place - in a stand or work box.
2. Place the scissors with the blades closed away from the person working; when passing, hold them by the closed blades.
3. Use well-adjusted and sharpened scissors.
4. Do not leave scissors with blades open.
5. Monitor the movement and position of the blades during operation.
6. Use scissors only for their intended purpose.

Isothread(other names - thread graphics, thread graphics, thread design) - a type of decorative and applied art, graphic technique, producing an image using threads on any solid base (most often on cardboard), supposedly appeared in the 17th century in England. Using the isothread technique, you can create magnificent large decorative panels, still lifes, landscapes and even portraits, covers, ornaments, postcards, bookmarks and much more. Mastering this technique is quite simple if you carefully and consistently follow all the tips.
To perform work using this technique, you must acquire the skills of filling a corner with thread.

First rule– we make a drawing of the future work on the wrong side of a sheet of cardboard.
Draw an angle with a pencil with sides 5 centimeters long.
We make marks at a distance of 5 mm on the sides of the corner, and then outline each with a bright dot.

Second rule
– the segments on the sides must be of equal length and the number of points on each side must be the same. To complete the first exercise, let's number the points (the main purpose of numbering is to describe the sequence of steps to fill a corner with thread).
Note: points No. 1 on one side and No. 1 on the other, relatively speaking, “do not occur near the zero mark.
And we get the following view - this is the main preparation of our future picture.

Third rule– the starting point in the very corner is never used in the work.
We use an awl to make a hole at each point so that it is easy to work with a needle and thread in the future.
Note: if you do not have the opportunity to use an awl, work with a larger needle than the one you will use to embroider later.

Next, we thread the colored thread into the needle, tie a knot at the end of the thread and, from the wrong side, insert the needle into point No. 1.

Pull the thread to the front side.
Note: I do not pull the thread to the knot; in order not to use additional fixation of the thread with glue or tape later, I fix the thread differently (see photo below).

Now on the front side we insert the needle into the point with No. 1 on the other side of the corner; on the diagram it is written as “1-1”.

Having stretched the thread, insert the needle next to it, at the point with No. 2.
Note: I explain to the guys this way: “On which side of the corner the needle and thread are located, on that side we make a short stitch from the wrong side, and a long stitch on the front side.”

I pass the needle through the loop, pull the thread through and make the next stitch.
The work then looks like this:

Front side

Wrong side

In the schematic record, the work looks like this:
connect points 1 – 1 (front side),
short stitch 1 – 2 (reverse side),
long stitch 2-2 (right side,
short stitch 2-3 (reverse side),
long stitch 3-3, etc.

Front side

Wrong side

Note: for the guys in the following, I note that the needle with thread on one side seems to go down, and on the other it goes up.

The “corner filling” technique is almost complete.

Fasten the thread and trim the ends.

Having mastered this technique, the guys perform the exercise a little more difficult.
Based on this technique, you can create a simple frame or composition in a square.

String graphics are images created using thread and small nails. This technique is also called isothread. Making a picture using the isothread technique is quite easy. Even children can do it. The main thing is to understand the very principle of winding threads. Completely easy for beginners.

But before you begin your first painting, you need to study the materials needed to create it. It is best to watch a step-by-step master class that will help you understand the principle of winding threads and how to create a shadow effect in paintings. This kind of creativity can be called embroidery, since the work is done with the help of a thread that is wound around nails at a certain angle.

The isothread technique is so simple that it has been included in the creative education program for children. Now there are a lot of ready-made kits that have patterns, threads, a thick base and a set of nails with a hammer. There are many fairly simple and accessible schemes available for children. These sets can also be used by adults who are just starting to learn. Having mastered simple techniques, you can easily make your own for loved ones or come up with your own plot for any other celebration.

This master class will be useful for any beginner.

To begin with, before creating a simple painting using the isothread technique, you need to decide whether to buy a ready-made set or whether to choose the right material yourself. Ready-made sets may not be suitable for their price and the range of designs offered. If the picture is intended for children, then you should choose a bright and simple theme. These can be butterflies (photo 1), flowers, ships and airplanes for boys.

Stages of work

  • Preparing templates and materials

In any store with creativity kits you can find such a combination as iso-thread patterns for beginners. Thanks to them, you can simply choose the required scheme and, after studying the master class, select the necessary materials yourself.

Thread graphics, or another name for embroidery on cardboard, have simple and accessible patterns. They must have numbers. For beginners, these are the most convenient diagrams, since in the first stages it is easier to navigate using clear instructions with printed numbers. The convenience of this type of creativity lies in the fact that the created picture does not have any special strict rules.

Embroidery on cardboard will be available to children from the age of five or six. It all depends on the perseverance of the child. For children, it is good to choose the smallest patterns, for example, hearts (photo 2), ships (photo 3), suns, and so on. For the base, use cardboard and thin wooden boards.

The isothread technique can be in the form of wound threads on nails or using punctures through a needle (photo 4). The principle and schemes for both options are the same. The embroidery of thread graphics on a velvet surface looks quite unusual. But this type of material is suitable for craftsmen who know how to work with this technique. Nowadays, you can quite often find unusual crafts made on old, damaged CDs, which are embroidered with threads by piercing them with a heated gypsy needle.

For children and their work using the iso-thread technique, it is necessary to take floss threads. They do not irritate children's skin and have a pleasant bright palette of colors. You can also use iris threads for embroidery, which are also made of cotton and have a wonderful shine. For children, you can also use beads, sequins, beads, but these elements are not mandatory when working with this technique.

  • Direct work process

When a convenient template for future work and a diagram has been selected, you can get to work. If the base is cardboard, then the selected design can be transferred to its surface. When a wooden plank was taken as a base, a design is created on its surface using nails and a hammer.

This kind of embroidery is quite original and interesting, but it is not entirely suitable for children, as there may be certain injuries during the work. This master class will talk about creating a painting in the form of a stork (photo 5).

There are several techniques for cardboard embroidery using the isothread technique - corner filling, triangular filling and making a circle. Begin the isothread technique with the first front stitch. Subsequent stitches come out of the same puncture and are applied in different directions. Depending on the design and pattern, the stitches have different lengths, but they completely follow the contours of the design printed on the cardboard.

The master class will show several types of techniques using the example of a stork. Each of the existing methods is quite convenient for beginners using simple digital circuits. Isothread diagrams with detailed instructions are very convenient and easy to understand. But you can easily do embroidery without marked digital patterns.

The stork's body is based on the example of filling a corner (photo 6). It is done like this:

  • outline the area of the stork’s body from one corner. Make markings from the wrong side. Each side of the angle is divided into equal parts by points;
  • number the designated points from the top of the drawn angle;
  • With a thicker needle, punctures are made at all designated points;
  • take a thin needle and thread and fill in the corner from the first number to the next one according to the drawn diagram.

Angles can be of three types: straight, obtuse, acute. Embroidery on cardboard usually involves a combination of two methods - corner filling and circle. In order to make smoother lines when embroidering, make the first stitch with a slight shift from the main point of the corner.

For the second method, embroidering a circle begins with drawing a pattern, just like in the first method. A circle of up to fifty millimeters is drawn on the wrong side. Next, the circle is divided into twelve equal parts. Draw out the puncture sites, marking them with dots. The smaller the distance between the punctures, the more interesting and delicate the pattern will be.

The master class on creating the “Stork” isothread technique provides for an inferior circle, and a semicircle created at the base of the bird’s head. Therefore, the semicircle is filled with threads in the same way as a simple circle, but with a smaller radius and a slightly different inclination of the threads. A needle and thread are inserted into the punctures and the space of the semicircle is filled according to the diagram.

The uniqueness of the isothread technique lies in the fact that you can always increase and decrease both the number of stitches and their inclination. In this technique, the templates are not as important as the result of execution. This master class will allow you to understand the basic principle of filling a pattern with threads. In the future, you will be able to independently decide in which direction to create stitches and how long to make them.

The density of filling with threads depends on the type of pattern and shade that the embroidery of a particular picture involves. At the end of the work, secure the thread by pulling it through other threads on the wrong side.

Paintings using isothread technique are extremely beautiful and elegant. At first glance, it may seem that thick paper is a very complex material. It is clear that every handicraft requires skills. It is unlikely that you will be able to immediately create a complex, intricate drawing from a photo. But you just have to learn two basic methods: filling a corner and a circle, and needlework will immediately become easy and understandable. Those who already have experience in this needlework can easily create the most intricate patterns and compositions.

Isonit diagrams are depicted quite simply. With this embroidery you can create almost any design. It is enough to draw an outline and make holes along it. Next, we will consider in detail a master class on how to do such work.

Materials and tools for thread graphics are available in every home. Therefore, even for novice craftsmen, it will not be difficult to find everything you need.

Basic techniques for isothread embroidery

Any string graphics schemes have similar methods for filling out elements. Let's look at the main methods.

Corner Filling

You need to draw an angle on a piece of thick paper. The size and severity do not make a difference. Each side of the isothread drawing must be divided into equal sections. To do this, use a ruler to measure intervals of 5 millimeters. We start work from the top of the corner. We mark each distance with a dot and a number. In these places, using a backing and an awl, you should make holes. The corner is sewn up as shown in the diagram. Embroidery begins from the inside out.

Filling a circle

Draw a circle on thick paper using a compass. It must be divided into twelve identical segments. We also mark the points with numbers and make punctures in these places. The peculiarity of filling the circle is that the smaller the distance between the punctures, the more beautiful the image will be. The main thing is that there are an even number of holes.

As for the length of the isothread stitches, long stitches fill the element more than small stitches. And accordingly, the central hole will also be smaller. The circle is embroidered according to the pattern.

Arcs and spirals

Embroidery of these elements is carried out using the same method as for the circle. But the length of the stitches should be short. The size of one stitch should be less than half an arc. The width of the embroidery directly depends on the stitch size. The smaller it is, the thinner the arc will be.

As for the peculiarities of embroidery of spiral figures, it is done all the time in only one direction. The stitch length of this isothread can only be from 3 to 5 punctures. After you have figured out the basic methods of embroidery using the thread graphics technique, you can proceed directly to the product. We offer a small master class of a children's pattern.

Kitty

This one is easy. A master class of such work is quite suitable for children’s first creativity.

For embroidery you will need:

  • black thick paper;
  • white floss threads;
  • thin white paper;
  • pencil;
  • pin;
  • clamp;
  • glue;
  • needle.

Manufacturing process

On white paper, use a sharp pencil to draw an outline of the cat. The photo shows what such a scheme looks like.

We attach the sheet to dark cardboard and secure it with clamps. Using paper clips will leave dents in the finished product that will not go away. Therefore, it is better to take special paper clips.

On the outline of the image, dots with numbers must be placed at regular intervals. In these places we pierce holes with a pin. Before you start making holes, place thick, dense material under the workpiece. It will not damage the work surface. We thread the thread into the needle, but do not make a knot. Isothread embroidery should begin from the reverse side. After making a couple of stitches, the end of the thread should be secured on the wrong side with glue.

The ears and part of the tail are embroidered using the corner filling method. All other elements - by filling the circle. Separately, cut out eyes, nose, and antennae from multi-colored materials and glue them to the cat. The embroidery is ready!

You can also conduct a master class with children on embroidery using the technique of threading dandelions. It's not difficult, any child can handle it.

Spring dandelions

This master class does not require any special skills. This image is an excellent option for inking diagrams for beginning craftsmen. The picture is created using the simplest stitches.

For embroidery you will need:

  • cardboard;
  • green paper;
  • glue;
  • needle;
  • pencil;
  • awl;
  • yellow and green threads.

Manufacturing process

You need to glue green paper onto the cardboard. A color scheme is drawn on it. At equal distances, you need to mark points with numbers with a pencil. Using an awl, holes are made along the contour of the design. We start embroidering from the wrong side, securing the tail of the thread with glue.

The flower and dandelion bud, which are shown in the photo, are embroidered with yellow thread using the method of filling the arc with triangles. The stem is created with stitches of green thread. The leaves are made by filling the corner with green threads. The finished embroidery can be framed or decorated with a baguette.

Tone thread graphics

Creating tonal isothread is considered the highest degree of skill. But it’s also easy to do. The main thing in this art is to choose the right materials and place all the elements beautifully and harmoniously.

In nature, all shades are divided into two groups: warm and cold. Visually warm ones are perceived as protruding forward, cold ones - receding back. Using such tricks, a unique volumetric embroidery is created.

In addition, shades are divided into light and heavy. Heavy ones include dark, saturated ones, light ones include cold, light ones. If the composition is embroidered correctly, the top part of the image will be “lighter” than the bottom. It is also necessary to ensure the harmony of the combination of color shades and fabric. In the photo, such paintings have unique artistry and originality.

The tone embroidery is very beautiful. It is particularly elegant and picturesque. The master class of such works is based on the correct relationship of color schemes.

The isothread technique is an ideal activity for children of any age. It is not difficult to perform, but very exciting. The very first classes allow you to create attractive and artistic works, which young needlewomen really like. In addition, this embroidery method develops attention, thoroughness, and fine motor skills in the child. Isothread for beginning craftsmen is the best way to get acquainted with such needlework as embroidery.

Isothread New Year patterns for thread embroidery on cardboard

Isothread New Year patterns for thread embroidery on cardboard

V
- a very easy and fun type of needlework. The art of creating such products touches a variety of areas of life. This is especially true for holidays. New Year, Christmas, Easter and other themed cards made using the thread graphics technique are original and unusual.
A holiday card is the soul of a New Year's gift. And the symbol of such a celebration is, of course, the Christmas tree. We offer a small master class on making a New Year's card. The work is not difficult. This activity will help create a pre-holiday mood not only for adults, but also for children.

Festive Christmas tree

Traditionally, for the New Year, people give cards with images of forest trees. It is not difficult to embroider a festive Christmas tree using the iso-threading technique. This type of image is primarily created using the corner filling method. String graphics are more based on my own ideas. But there are several rules that should be used in embroidery.

  • Image shape. Typically, Christmas tree designs consist of triangles. It is not necessary that they be isosceles or of the correct shape. Such geometric shapes can be drawn either at an angle or in several rows;
  • Color. The stereotype that the Christmas tree is depicted as green does not apply in this case. Embroidery made with silver, gold, blue, orange, yellow and even white thread looks very beautiful;
  • Decoration. Traditionally, the tops of holiday trees are decorated with a star or topper. Shiny rhinestones, sequins or similar tinsel are quite suitable for this purpose. You can also make Christmas tree decorations from these same elements;
  • Embroidery techniques. Depending on the desired elements, in addition to sewing up the corner using the isothread method, the pattern is created by filling a circle, spiral or arc. Depending on the created scheme, these methods can be combined.

  • To work you will need:

    • cardboard;
    • metal threads;
    • ruler;
    • scissors;
    • pencil;
    • needle;
    • glue.

    Making a postcard

    Material selection
    Any work begins with the selection of materials. In our case, it is better to think through such things in advance. For example, you can take not metal thread, but regular lurex. This is the case if you want the embroidery to shine. Although it is quite interchangeable with a green or other color floss thread. As your imagination dictates. It is also possible to use iris, silk or thin wool. But these materials do not have a very large color palette. Therefore, if you make a Christmas tree with shades, the best choice is floss. New Year is a magical holiday, which means you can experiment with the most creative ideas.
    The same applies to the color of the cardboard. There are no restrictions here. An organic combination of shades is perhaps the only thing that can be highlighted in this matter. In addition to cardboard, the isothread technique allows the use of velvet paper. But it is much more difficult to embroider on such material, since it does not have plasticity. Due to this feature, with an accidental jerk or uncontrolled tension, the base may tear. Some artists prefer to use watercolor paper. It is quite dense and has an unusual texture. You can even embroider with thick woolen threads on this basis.
    Any postcard size is possible. But for beginners, you should not use too large patterns. It’s better to hone your skills on small images.
    As for the needle for embroidery using the isothread technique, in this case it all depends on the density of the paper. The thinner the base, the smaller the needle you will have to use. You should also use a thimble. It will not only protect your fingers from pricks while embroidering, but will also help if you make punctures on cardboard with a needle.
    Manufacturing process First, you need to create a sketch. It is better to draw it on thin white paper. Our Christmas tree will consist of triangles.
    We draw geometric shapes on the material in the required order.
    The lines of each triangle must be divided into equal segments. For this process you will need a pencil and a ruler.
    In the case when you are doing such work using the isothread method for the first time, it is better if there is a corresponding numerical value next to each point. This will prevent you from getting confused in the order of pulling the thread.

    The finished diagram is placed on a cardboard sheet and fixed. To do this, you can use regular metal paper clips. But such holders have one significant drawback. During use, significant deformation of any paper occurs. After removing the staples, the cardboard will no longer be level and noticeable dents will remain. Therefore, it is better to use special paper clips.
    Then a thick needle should be pierced at the marked points of the picture. The result is a blank with holes, and we will stretch the threads into them. There is no hole made at the top of the corner. In addition to a needle, for this purpose it is permissible to use a thin awl or a sewing pin (depending on the thickness of the thread used). You can make holes on a canopy, but it is much more convenient to do this on a table, placing porous material under the workpiece. An unnecessary piece of linoleum or foam will do just fine.

    At the next stage of embroidery using the isothread technique, we insert the thread into the needle and get to work. While making the pattern, make sure that the thread does not get tangled. If this does happen, pull it back and release it. There is no need to continue embroidery. This will not only complicate the work, but also make the drawing ugly. If the thread runs out, there is no need to tie a knot. Simply secure the end with glue from the wrong side and continue embroidering with new material. There is no need to tighten the thread very much while working. The Christmas tree is embroidered on paper, so there is a fear that the product will simply become deformed. But you should also not embroider too loosely. In this case, the pattern will be difficult to see.
    We will embroider using isothread technique using the corner filling method. It is better to start embroidery from the bottom. From the back of the cardboard we thread the needle through the first hole. We carefully monitor the end of the thread so that it does not slip through.

    On the face we insert it into the second hole and return it to the wrong side. We pass through the third hole again.
    We embroider all the elements of the pattern in this way. Each time we secure the thread with glue.
    On the back side of the finished product you need to glue a piece of cardboard or any other paper of the appropriate size.

    If you want to make a double card. Before starting work, it is necessary to fold a sheet of cardboard in half. In this case, you should consider the paper size. Since for a double product you need to take twice as much sheet. In this case, holes should be made only on one half of the workpiece.

    You can make different New Year cards using one template using the isothread technique. A web of threads looks quite original when creating a scrap. The simplest corner filling technique will allow you to create an elegant and amazing work of art. Well, imagination will help you realize the most creative and unusual ideas. New Year is an unusual, fantastic holiday. The same is true for postcards using the thread graphics technique.
