Not finding normal unloading in the city at an affordable price, I decided to sew it myself, the question arose, does anyone have a pattern? I want to sew something like Umka M33 and “Som” M32-MOLLE. Those. on the right shoulder there is a cushion for shock absorption. MOLLE pouch fastening system. There is an evacuation handle on the back. Fastek fastener and zipper. Can anyone help with sizes or patterns? I will not sew it myself, but to order.

STEPAN1983 09-07-2010 13:01

look at how many cells there are (first of all, you use them as a guide; you can even roughly draw a vest on a scale from a photograph), look at where to place the fastex/zipper. You draw on whatman paper as much as possible, apply it according to your figure, cut off the excess, replace it and add more glue. You will hardly find similar patterns online. Equipment is not clothing, there are no such complex lines. The result is something convenient for you. I did it, but I already gave away the patterns.

Thanks for the idea.

I found this, but thanks anyway

I'll try to draw it over the weekend. Yes, I’ll post it here for the court.
Please tell me the distance between the cells on the COM, otherwise I found http://www.rus.1gb.ru/note/abmolle.htm and I can’t determine what it is exactly, it looks like PALS, but only if the slings are sewn in pairs like this:
I threw the front half on the computer, I'll try to calculate the dimensions tomorrow.

buy a new Splavovskaya one from me and don’t worry

I'm already carried away now until I finish it. And before the rafting, it’s easier for me to go to Novosibirsk and buy something else along the way.

STEPAN1983 11-07-2010 23:25

What the hell with this backward COM, do the classics - the distance between the lines is the width of the line, the width of the cell is 35 mm (this width is common in Russia)

Liskow42 12-07-2010 04:30

I needed it to take measurements, and that’s how I wanted to make the cells. I cut it out and began to customize it to suit myself. With a height of 186, you can lengthen it a little and, for me, also widen it. Literally a cell down and a cell to the side. I shot with a piece of thin paralon under my shoulder, it didn’t seem comfortable, in my opinion, a rubber galosh on the butt is better and that’s all.
It seems like I adjusted it to myself.
The cell size in the figure is 5mm. Green dotted lines show standard size (copied from Tarzan M-37). Red is if the seam is not on the shoulder, but on the chest.
Damn, I can’t fill my back.

Liskow42 14-07-2010 15:01

Looks like I've finished adjusting the pattern to suit myself. There are a few questions left:
1. Is a closed back necessary if you mainly plan to use it with a backpack?
2. How to connect the back and side halves? (lace-up, wide elastic band, adjustable straps)
3. If the back is open, how to connect the side halves behind the back?
4. Do I need belt attachments? Or is it better to make the vest longer?

STEPAN1983 14-07-2010 16:26

1. the back is better made of mesh. Otherwise, you will get terribly tired, because you don’t always have a backpack, and it will be better with one.
2. No wide elastic band for joining. Better elastic lacing or strap adjustment
3. lacing woven into the outer MOLLE cells along the entire edge of the side panels. In short, it’s like an old-fashioned corset.
4. It’s noticed that many people don’t wear a belt and these loops get in the way. Plus, there are options for hanging the belt on removable loops, which are attached to the MOLLE cells of the vest and removed when not needed. Regarding the length of the vest - probably for a normal size it’s better to have four rows of MOLLE on the side (it fits in height)

Instructions for installing the belt on backpacks and satchels: If the original belt is a simple sling with a width of 38 mm or 50 mm, threaded into double-slit buckles sewn to the lower corners of the backpack/satchel: hide the 25 mm belt straps under the front panels as unnecessary. Thread the 38 mm slings of the belt into the double-slit buckles of the backpack/knapsack, tighten it as much as possible, hide the excess ends of the sling under the front panels of the belt. If the original belt is anatomically shaped, it is attached by threading the belt under the lumbar pad of the backpack (fastened with Velcro inside) and the side guys (on the belt on each side has 1-2 slings 25 mm, on the backpack there are 1-2 three-slot buckles): Insert the belt under the lumbar pad of the backpack, check the grip of the Velcro. For reliability, the zipper is duplicated by three Duraflex ® fastex, which do not overlap adjacent PALS cells. Fastex slings can be adjusted in length. At the bottom edge of the vest there are removable belt loops (6 pcs.) for attaching unloading/pistol belts. The vest itself is sewn with compact single-slot Duraflex® buckles - so without belt loops there are no unnecessary interfering elements. The belt loop is made from a piece of sling with a sewn-on double-slit Duraflex® buckle, this ensures high reliability (no breaking or freezing buttons or dirty and worn out Velcro) and is adjustable for belts of any width and thickness. The correct way to install belt loops is shown in the photographs in the catalog. The places where PALS slings are sewn are reinforced with vertical braid sewn onto the back of the mesh. Thus, the load is removed from the mesh and very high strength is ensured. On the chest, the second inner layer of the mesh forms pockets for cards, the entrance has long vertical zippers (twisted, large type), paracord grips - do not rattle, do not break. On the back, the second inner layer of the mesh forms a pocket for a hydration pack (with a capacity of no more than 2 liters, the hydration pack is not included). The entrance is at the top, fastened with Velcro. The hydration pack is suspended on Velcro loops, designed for hydration packs made by Splav and Source®. The size adjustment of the vest is located on the sides of the back (minimum size -48), made using slings and three-slit Duraflex® buckles; you can adjust the size directly on the vest you are wearing. There are four slings on each side, which are a continuation of the PALS rows (if necessary, they can be used to hang pouches). The slings have a reserve length - the excess can be trimmed, but the ends of the slings must be melted! To secure the excess ends of the lines and protect against slipping, each line is additionally equipped with a double-slit Duraflex® buckle (can be removed). The front part of the shoulders of the vest is a sandwich of Cordura ® 500d fabric (lining), 4 mm foam (to absorb recoil when shooting) and heavy-duty Hypalon material (analogous to Cordura® 1060d fabric, laminated on both sides with artificial rubber), which prevents the butt from slipping. PALS slings are sewn on the front, made of braid, sheathed with a layer of Hypalon material. The vest is designed for any height. Height adjustment is made by connecting the back and front of the shoulders with wide Velcro and straps threaded through double-slit Duraflex® buckles sewn on the back. These slings and their risers are placed in special cells hidden under the Velcro adjustment on the back. Thanks to this, there is no danger of the sling catching on obstacles, and the reliability of the connection is increased (even if the Velcro completely fails). The use of special cells is demonstrated in detail in the photographs in the catalog. The lining of the back part of the shoulders is made of Airmesh Coolmax ® volumetric mesh. An evacuation loop is sewn on the upper part of the back. The vest is sewn only in solid colors. REVIEWS:

Front unfastening bib based on the MAV 2 Piece vest and X Harness straps from Tactical Tailor®, trimmed with PALS straps for attaching pouches, with anatomical straps and built-in compartments for carrying 6 magazines AK/M4/VSS/Saiga-12 The bib consists of straps and an unloading panel in the form of two symmetrical panels. All elements are fastened together using fastex straps. Straps: The straps are attached to the panels with four adjustable 25 mm Duraflex ® fastex fasteners with additional adjustment of the length of the slings using three-slot buckles. The straps are fully interchangeable with the straps of the Compact Modular Bib. The excess ends of the slings are folded and tucked under an elastic ring. The straps are anatomical, smoothly curved, without corners, fit snugly to the shoulders, do not rub the neck, and distribute the load well. The straps are a sandwich of Cordura ® 1060d fabric, 4 mm semi-rigid foam and a ventilated mesh lining. Air Mesh. The most loaded components (buckles of the straps, handle for evacuation, half rings) are stitched through all layers for strength. The straps for attaching the straps to the platform form a power frame, continuing along the surface of the straps, crossing in an X-shape on the back. The handle for evacuation is sewn under the slings of the power frame, playing the role of an anti-tearing element On each shoulder on top there are 2 wide elastic bands for fastening a drinking system tube or wires On each shoulder in front there is a semi-ring for attaching equipment On the straps instead of the usual PALS cells, a special Even-Odd system is used, which allows you to install pouches symmetrically in the center of the platform, regardless of whether the pouch is attached evenly or oddly. The slings are 20 mm wide, sewn completely on top of each other with a small gap to facilitate installation. Each second sling has fastenings offset laterally by half the width of the PALS cell relative to the first sling: On the back there are 2 horizontal rows of slings, 4 or 5 PALS cells wide. On the front side of the straps, 3 horizontal rows of slings, 1 or 2 PALS cells wide. The front slings are additionally sheathed with heavy-duty Hypalon material (analogous to Cordura® 1060d fabric, laminated on both sides with artificial rubber), which prevents the butt plate from slipping on the strap Platform: PALS slings on the platform are sewn in the classical way (with a gap between the horizontal rows the width of the sling), hanging pouches ALICE is not possible The panels are quite compact, each has 3 horizontal rows of slings in height and 8 PALS cells in width The panels are a sandwich of two layers of Cordura® 1060d fabric with 2 mm of rigid foam inside to maintain the shape and distribute the load Front fastener with two sewn non-adjustable 25 mm fastex Panels are attached to the straps with four mother 25 mm fastex Duraflex®. The platform is completely interchangeable with the Compact modular bib. The belt is made of a wide 50 mm sling, fastened with an adjustable 50 mm fastex, a double-slit buckle for fixing the adjustment and holding the excess end of the sling. Fastex is located on the right side, so there are no interfering parts under the left hand, which is convenient for a right-handed person when hanging pouches on a belt (for example, dumping magazines) On the back of the panels, flat pockets are sewn across the entire area, the entrance at the top is fastened with a long Velcro, along the edge of the entrance Sling loops for easy opening. Inside there are three cells of 50 mm elastic for small items. This pocket can also be used to carry six magazines (AK/M4/VSS/Saiga-12, etc.), for this purpose the magazine is threaded into an elastic cell, and the supplied clasp is put on top of the corresponding pair of pocket grip loops, usually used in shingles. If the pocket is not used for carrying magazines, it is recommended to remove all fasteners, as... they interfere with access to the pocket. The set includes removable adjustable fasteners made of 4 mm elastic cord and grips that press the magazine on top (6 pcs.). To remove the magazine, you need to move the grip to the side. The length of the cord is adjustable using a lock. Grip made of Hypalon material, which prevents the grip from sliding relative to the magazine and fingers. The grip is Y-shaped (bifurcated towards the bottom) for use with AKM magazines; due to their strong curvature, a regular grip can slide off a magazine cover that is too inclined, so the bifurcated part of the grip is put on the upper corner of the magazine, providing a secure hold along the bottom edge of each The panels have removable belt loops (6 pcs.) for attaching pistol/unloading belts. Compact single-slot buckles are sewn onto the vest itself - thus, if belt loops are not used, there are no unnecessary interfering elements. The belt loop is a simple piece of sling with a double-slit buckle sewn to it, this ensures high reliability (no breaking or freezing buttons and no dirty and worn-out Velcro) and adjustment to belts of any width and thickness. The correct way to install belt loops is shown in the photographs in the catalog. Adjustable to a figure of any size and height.

If you need to have a lot of things with you that you may need at any time, then you should buy a weight-bearing vest. It has a bunch of pockets of different sizes, where absolutely everything fits: ammunition, a walkie-talkie with a first aid kit, and a flask with water.

About a hundred years ago, the ammunition that needed to be carried was carried on a belt-shoulder system - RPS. This is such a wide belt, to which two straps are attached for throwing over the shoulders. However, the width of the belt is small, and it was not possible to fit everything on it. Then unloading vests appeared - their first models (Italian) saw the light in the middle of the last century.

The main feature of the vest is the pockets. They allow you to distribute the weight of the equipment evenly throughout the body. In addition to pockets, pouches are hemmed - all this is positioned so that the back is free. As a result, there is less load on the spine and more comfort. A good tactical vest should:

  • Be durable and fire resistant;
  • do not interfere with moving on your belly;
  • do not interfere with the use of technology;
  • contain no less than a double combat kit;
  • have reliable fittings.

Where and who uses this item of equipment

All world armies use tactical (another name) vests. Since the nineties of the last century, they have become common military equipment in many countries. Special forces personnel, hunters, fishermen, and airsoft players appreciated the convenience of such equipment.

A little about the design of the unloading vest

Colors

Most often, this item of clothing has one of the following colors: black, olive, green. There are also camouflage colors with different combinations of shades. The color should be chosen so that it blends in with the area as much as possible. This rule applies to all use cases.

Material for sewing a vest

The first unloading vests, made of canvas and leather, weighed a lot. Therefore, later they began to use lighter synthetics (sometimes even a special mesh fabric) for sewing them. In particular, one of the most popular materials is cordura (otherwise known as cordura). This is an American fabric made from specially woven nylon threads. It is extremely durable and very light, and its price is quite reasonable.

What types of fastenings are there?

Initially, pockets and pouches on vests were fixed rigidly, and their size was fixed. Such models are called “with integrated pockets”. Here you have to use what you have - you can’t change anything individually for yourself. But when running fast, the pocket will not fall off.

Now they have begun to make a second option - modular, when pockets and pouches can be removed.

There are several fastening systems, the most popular is Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. Abbreviated as MOLLE. Here, horizontal fabric ribbons with slots are sewn onto the removable parts and on the vest. By threading a fabric sling through them, you can easily attach (or remove) any element.

Pouches

The purpose of the pouch is to store a supply of ammunition. Therefore, it is reasonable to select it for a specific type of weapon (this is where the advantage of the modular system manifests itself). However, they are now producing pouches for any necessary items: flasks, first aid kits, documents, various small items. The material used is leather or cordura.

Why does a gun belt need a limiter?

Some models of vests (for example, Tarzan) are equipped with an original “gadget” - a belt limiter. He does not allow the machine gun to insidiously slide off his shoulder. According to user reviews, this often happens. So the limiter is a useful thing. But in the summer, when the vest is worn without a jacket, it can sometimes create a little discomfort.

Getting to know the manufacturers

UTG Leapers

The Leapers company, with an office in the US state of Michigan, has been specializing in products for sports, shooting, and hunting since 1992. She makes vests for unloading very well. They are bought by security forces, airsoft players, and hunters.

They are conveniently fastened with a zipper, and the presence of three adjustable straps makes the product universal. Both thin and overweight people will be able to adjust the vest to suit themselves (by varying the height of the torso, waist size and fullness).

Nine pockets (for documents, flashlight, radio, cartridges, rifle magazines) are closed with Velcro and have holes where water flows out. There is also a belt for a pistol and a pouch for it, and an inclined type holster. And if all the equipment doesn’t fit, then you can fasten something on your back - there is such an option.

For comfort:

  • There are shock absorbers on the shoulders;
  • ventilation meshes are provided for ventilation;
  • there is a special grip on the back (to pull out the wounded).

Tarzan

This product from the famous domestic company “Splav” weighs 1.1 kg. It is actively used by FSO and Airborne Forces fighters, and airsoft players. They make vests from Cordura 1000 in two colors: olive and Woodland. The fastener is a thick tractor-type zipper plus a Velcro flap. Using the slotted buckle, you can adjust the vest to your height (from 1.64 to 2 m). Size – from 46 to 48.

MOLLE straps are sewn across the front along the entire height and at the back in the upper part, which allows you to temporarily attach something to your back (for example, a generator). To prevent the contents from falling out, the pouches are equipped with elastic bands.

They have grommets at the bottom - water flows out there if it gets full. Inside the vest there are two pockets where you can hide documents. They have a Velcro fastener.

For convenience there are:

  • Rescue loop on the back;
  • weapon belt limiter;
  • large loop with a lock.

A laser target designator is a good thing that allows you to clearly identify the target. But it's not cheap. We suggest doing it. Instructions and tips can be found in this article.

Vest named "Tank"

And another model in olive color made of Oxford fabric and nylon with a MOLLE fastening system, which is sewn for special forces soldiers. A very versatile product - it can be adjusted to sizes from 46 to 60! The fastener is a zipper and two fasteners. I am very pleased with the special system for attaching pouches - completely silent. The length of the straps can be adjusted by securing them with Velcro.

Video review of the Tank unloading vest:

The set includes thirteen pouches, of which two are double and one small universal (for attaching to the back). There is also a large zippered bag (bucket bag) and a tactical belt. There is also a rescue loop.

Smersh

And this vest, designed for AK, is produced by a Russian manufacturer - SoyuzSpetsOsnaschenie. And again we have a fastening system with tape slings - MOLLE. Product colors: olive, black, camouflage. The kit of this product includes two pouches for, as well as four pouches for machine gun magazines, one for a walkie-talkie, two for a VOG-25. The kit also includes a large bag (sugar bag) and a first aid pouch.

Rock

A domestic manufacturer produces this vest with the strongest reinforced fittings for AK. It was developed taking into account the battles in the Caucasus.

Molle tape fastening system, shoulder adjustment, soft shoulder inserts, the ability to change sizes (from 46 to 60) are the advantages of the model. The product weighs only 0.805 kg.

The vest can be filled with eight AK magazines, as well as a sufficient number of pockets: two each for a first aid kit with small change and flares, RGO and RGN. In addition, you can also attach a large pocket at the back, adjustable with straps.

Ciras

The last vest in the review (Ciras Maritime) is also equipped with the Molle system, a soft lining with a damping effect and large Velcro.

It is made of sand-colored cordura and can be adjusted in height and volume. The manufacturer is well known in the world of airsoft equipment - this is the company Flyye industries.

The vest includes five pouches for ten machine gun magazines, two for pistol magazines, as well as pouches for a walkie-talkie, documents and all sorts of household items.

Save money: sew unloading yourself

It’s no secret that you will have to pay quite a bit of money for a finished vest (several thousand rubles). But if your hands are not afraid of work, then you can build a quite decent unloading vest.

Making a pattern

Patterns can be made from newsprint or old wallpaper. Look carefully at the finished models and draw something similar, adjusting the pattern to your liking. Shred and cut until you are happy with the result. Everything should fit well and nothing should stick out!

We select materials

The best fabric is cordura. Choose the color to your taste. But you can take durable nylon, nylon, and other durable synthetics. Who knows - maybe you have a piece of suitable material lying around for such a case. This will save even more money. Don't forget about the lining.

You will need more slings - you need a lot of them. After all, we will be making a vest with the Molle system.

And you need to buy high-quality and reliable buckles (preferably three-slit ones, for example, from Duraflex).

We will sew with nylon threads. And prepare a chalk or marker for markings, and a detachable zipper for the fastener.

How to unload in 1 minute on the battlefield:

We cut and sew

We cut out the necessary parts from the front and lining fabric, and then begin to sew the slings (on the front side). This will be a long time - get ready. To make it smooth, we make markings. Then we decorate the collar (you can put soft filling inside) and the back. On it we sew six buckles on the horizontal slings and two on the slings coming from the collar. Making a rescue handle. Then you can sew a pocket (or two) on the lining. Let's make it with a zipper so you can put documents there. All that remains is to connect the lining and the face, sewing a zipper between them. And then decorate the bottom of the product with a belt (so that it fits tightly).

Surely people who, in one way or another, are associated with hunting, fishing, and military craft know that unloading is an irreplaceable thing. This article will tell you how to sew an unloading yourself.

To do this you need to prepare:

1 meter of main fabric;
0.5 meters of lining fabric;
belt tape (about 15 m);
nylon threads;
buckles;
Velcro adhesive tape;
scissors;
sewing machine

Manufacturing

1. First, you need to take measurements of chest circumference, neck circumference, shoulder length, as well as the length of the product itself. Making a vest pattern.
2. Now draw a right angle, from the top to the right you need to set aside a segment that is equal to the fourth part of the neck girth measurement. Downwards are adjusted 10 cm and 3 cm. The point on the horizontal line is connected to the point 10 and 3. Thus, the lines of the back and front neckline should be obtained.
3. The length measurement of the product is laid down from point 3. The measurement, which is equal to the fourth part of the chest circumference measurement, is placed to the right. A straight line is drawn upward, after which a shoulder length measurement is taken from the neckline point. Next, a segment the size of the armhole length is lowered from this point, now a line is drawn to the right. The intersection point must be connected to the shoulder point.
4. Now the back and front pattern can be cut out and immediately applied to you to make changes. Remember that unloading must be free.
5. After you have thought about what will be worn in the unloading, you can draw the location of the pockets.
6. The back and front pieces are cut out from the lining and main fabric. The location of the necessary pockets is marked on the front side.
7. Pockets should be voluminous, so the lower corners of the rectangles are stitched, and the seam allowances are pressed inside out. Safety pins are used to secure the pockets in place.
8. Right sides of the valve parts are folded towards each other and stitched, but the upper part of the valve must be open. By turning it right side out, you can sew a buckle or Velcro tape. The valves, like the pockets, are attached.
9. Now the upper part, padding polyester, and lining are pinned together and the shoulder and side seams are made. The edges of the sections are edged using a belt.
10. And at the last stage you need to mark the lines for the straps and fasteners. After this, the belts are sewn on, and tacks are made at the ends of the stitches.

Now the buckles are attached. Unloading is ready! The whole merit of unloading is that many different necessary things can not only be carried, but also quickly retrieved if necessary.
