Crochet cake using the amigurumi technique. Knitted pastries and cakes Amigurumi crochet cake Scheme and description of a knitted toy

Who didn't have tea parties as a child? There are no such. Little princesses really love to have delicious tea parties in the “pleasant company” of dolls and other animals. And what can no one with a sweet tooth imagine their get-togethers without? That's right, no sweets! Below you can read the description of simple, but no less delicious cakes that can please more than one little princess and her “retinue” 😉

Necessary materials:
Yarn for the base (brown, hot pink, light pink, white) and for decoration (white, red, burgundy, purple, green). For the base I used YarnArt Jeans and Alize Cotton Gold. For small details - YarnArt Begonia.
Tools: crochet hook No. 2, marker, scissors, knitting needle.
Filler (I have holofiber)
Plastic plate (I used a children's photo album box)

Legend:
RLS - single crochet
PR - increase
UB – decrease
СС – connecting post
PSSN - half double crochet
NOTE. Knitting is in a spiral pattern, so there is no need to make SS or lifting stitches unless otherwise indicated. The yarn can be from any other manufacturer you like, the main thing is that all the colors match each other in thickness - the yarn for the bases is thicker than the yarn for decoration.

Cake

Big detail:

Row 2 – 6PR – that is, we knit 2 sc in each loop (this row will make 12 loops)
Row 3 – (1 RLS, PR)*repeat 6 times (18)
Row 4 – (2 RLS, PR)*6 (24)
Row 5 – (3 RLS, PR)*6 (30)
Row 6 – (4 RLS, PR)* 6 (36)

Row 11 – (9 RLS, PR)*6 (66)
Row 12 – (10 RLS, PR)*6 (72)
Row 13 – (11 RLS, PR)*6 (78)
At this stage we prepare two round plates for the bottom and top of the large cake base. Thus, the part will not be rounded due to the filler, but will maintain the required flat shape.
Row 14 – 78СБН behind the back wall of the loop (78)
15-23 row – 78 RLS (78)
Row 24 – 78 sc behind the back wall of the loop (78)
Row 25 – (11 RLS, UB)*6 (72)
Row 26 – (10 RLS, UB)*6 (66)
Row 27 – (9 RLS, UB)*6 (60)
Insert a plate into the bottom. We begin to stuff the part evenly.
Row 28 – (8 RLS, UB)*6 (54)
Row 29 – (7 RLS, UB)*6 (48)
Row 30 – (6 RLS, UB)*6 (42)
31 row – (5 RLS, UB) * 6 (36)
We finally stuff the part and insert the top plate, slightly bending it for easier insertion into the part. If necessary, add filler, making sure that it does not end up on top of the plate.
Row 32 – (4 RLS, UB)*6 (30)
Row 33 – (3 RLS, UB)*6 (24)
Row 34 – (2 RLS, UB)*6 (18)
Row 35 – (1 RLS, UB)*6 (12)
Row 36 – (UB)*6 (6)

Small detail:
If a large piece was knitted from the bottom up, then this one is knitted the other way around, starting from the top.

2nd row – 6PR (12)
Row 3 – (1 RLS, PR)*6 (18)
Row 4 – (2 RLS, PR)*6 (24)
Row 5 – (3 RLS, PR)*6 (30)
Row 6 – (4 RLS, PR)* 6 (36)
Row 7 – (5 RLS, PR)*6 (42)
Row 8 – (6 RLS, PR)*6 (48)
Row 9 – (7 RLS, PR)*6 (54)
Row 10 – (8 RLS, PR)*6 (60)
Row 11 – (9 RLS, PR)*6 (66)
Row 12 – 66 sc behind the back wall of the loop (66)
13-21 row – 66 RLS (66)
We place the plate on the “bottom”. We will stuff the part in the process of sewing the two parts together. We cut the thread, leaving the required length for sewing.

Cakes

Depending on the base of the cake you will knit, the colors of the yarn will change. But the main points will be the same for everyone.

Cake with cherries
Brown yarn:
Row 1 – 6 sc in amigurumi ring
2nd row – 6PR (12)
Row 3 – (1 RLS, PR)*6 (18)
Row 4 – (2 RLS, PR)*6 (24)
Row 5 – (3 RLS, PR)*6 (30)
Row 6 – (4 RLS, PR)* 6 (36)
At this stage, we prepare three plastic circles for greater durability of the sweets, measuring the “bottom” of the part.

8-12 row – 36 RLS (36)

Row 13 – 36 RLS (36)

Row 15 – (4 RLS, UB)*6 (30)
Insert the plate.
Row 16 – (3 RLS, UB)*6 (24)
Row 17 – (2 RLS, UB)*6 (18)
Row 18 – (1 RLS, UB)*6 (12)
We fill the part to the end.
Row 19 – (UB)*6 (6)
Close the knitting. We cut the thread and hide it in the part.

To make “drips” of the cream, fasten a light pink thread to the row formed along the edge from the front wall of the loop. Then we make 1 sc, 3 ch, in the second sc loop from the hook, sc in the chain chain loop, sc in the same loop as the first sc (in the base loop), 2 sc along the row of half loops, sc in the next loop , 2 ch, sc in the second loop from the hook, sc in the base loop, ... then we simply alternate short and long “drips” through 1-2-3 sc to your taste. Having knitted the last “piece” of cream, we make a SS and cut the thread, leaving the required length for sewing. Then we sew the “drips” of cream to the base of the cake.

Blueberry pie
Bright pink yarn:
Row 1 – 6 sc in amigurumi ring
2nd row – 6PR (12)
Row 3 – (1 RLS, PR)*6 (18)
Row 4 – (2 RLS, PR)*6 (24)
Row 5 – (3 RLS, PR)*6 (30)
Row 6 – (4 RLS, PR)* 6 (36)
Row 7 – 36 sc behind the back wall of the loop (36)
8-9 row – 36 RLS (36)
Change the yarn color to white:
Row 10 – 36 RLS (36)
Change the yarn color to light pink:
11-13 row – 36 RLS (36)
Row 14 – 36 sc behind the back wall of the loop (36)
Row 15 – (4 RLS, UB)*6 (30)
Insert the plate.
Row 16 – (3 RLS, UB)*6 (24)
Row 17 – (2 RLS, UB)*6 (18)
Row 18 – (1 RLS, UB)*6 (12)
Stuffing the part
Row 19 – (UB)*6 (6)
Close the knitting. We cut the thread and hide it in the part.

Strawberry cake
Brown yarn:
Row 1 – 6 sc in amigurumi ring
2nd row – 6PR (12)
Row 3 – (1 RLS, PR)*6 (18)
Row 4 – (2 RLS, PR)*6 (24)
Row 5 – (3 RLS, PR)*6 (30)
Row 6 – (4 RLS, PR)* 6 (36)
Row 7 – 36 sc behind the back wall of the loop (36)
Change the yarn color to light pink:
8-13 row – 36 RLS (36)
Row 14 – 36 sc behind the back wall of the loop (36)
Row 15 – (4 RLS, UB)*6 (30)
Insert the plate.
Row 16 – (3 RLS, UB)*6 (24)
Row 17 – (2 RLS, UB)*6 (18)
Row 18 – (1 RLS, UB)*6 (12)
Stuffing the part
Row 19 – (UB)*6 (6)
Close the knitting. We cut the thread and hide it in the part.

Marshmallow

Row 1 – 6 sc in amigurumi ring (6)
2nd row – 6 PR (12)
Row 3 – (3 RLS, PR)*3 (15)
Row 4 – 15 sc behind the back wall of the loop
5-10 row – 15 RLS (15)
Row 11 – 15 sc behind the back wall of the loop (15)
Row 12 – (3 RLS, UB)*3 (12)
We stuff the detail.
13 row – 6 UB (6)
Close the knitting. We cut the thread, leaving the required length for sewing. To give the part a more similar shape to a marshmallow, we do the following: we thread the remaining end of the thread onto a needle, insert the needle into the adjacent loop, bring it out on the opposite side, insert it into the part again, hooking one loop, and bring the thread out in the place where we will sew the “marshmallow” onto the cake. We make one knot to secure the thread, but try not to tighten it too much so as not to deform our “marshmallow”.

“Cream” (for strawberry cake)
We knit with thin white yarn. We knit all loops, except six from the first row, behind the back wall of the loop:
Row 1 – 6 sc in amigurumi ring (6)
2nd row – 6PR (12)
Row 3 – (1 RLS, PR)*6 (18)
Row 4 – (2 RLS, PR)*6 (24)
Row 5 – (1 sc, 3 hdc in the same loop, 1 sc in the next loop)* 12
We make a SS, fasten and cut the thread, leaving the required length for sewing.

“Cream” (for blueberry cake)
We knit with thin white yarn:
Row 1 – 6 sc in amigurumi ring (6)
2nd row – 6PR behind the back wall of the loop (12)
3rd row – 12 RLS (12)
Row 4 – (1 RLS, PR)*6 behind the back wall of the loop (18)
Row 5 – 18 RLS (18)
Row 6 – (2 RLS, PR)* 6 behind the back wall of the loop (24)
Row 7 – 24 RLS (24)
We make a sl st, unroll the knitting and knit further sc along the resulting spiral from the front walls of the loops to the very “top”. We cut the thread, leaving the required length for sewing. Using a needle, we fix the knitting and bring the thread inside the “cream”. We will stuff the part during the sewing process.

Strawberry (2 parts)
We knit with red yarn:
Row 1 – 6 sc in ring (6)
Row 2 – (1 RLS, PR)*3 (9)
3rd row – 9 RLS (9)
Row 4 – (2 RLS, PR)*3 (12)
Row 5 – 12 RLS (12)
Row 6 – (3 RLS, PR)*3 (15)
Row 7 – (4 RLS, PR)*3 (18)
8-9 row – 18 RLS (18)
Row 10 – (1 RLS, UB)*6 (12)
11 row – 6 UB (6)
Close the knitting. We cut the thread, leaving the required length for sewing, and bring it out in the place where the part will be attached to the base of the cake. Using white thread we embroider the “seeds” on the berries. To avoid making knots on the front side, insert the needle into the hole without touching the thread, embroider the required number of stitches, and remove the needle in the same place where it was inserted the first time. We make 2-3 knots and hide the end of the thread in the part.
We knit the following with green yarn:
6 sc in the amigurumi ring, knit 1 sc, ch 3, unroll the knitting, sc in the second loop from the hook, sc along the chain, sc in the base loop. Thus, we got one green tail. We make a sc in the second loop and repeat all the previous steps. At the end you will get 6 green “tails”. We make a CC, fasten and cut the thread, leaving the required length for sewing the part to the strawberry. We hide the thread in the detail.

Cherry (10 parts)
We knit with burgundy thread:
Row 1 – 6 sc in ring (6)
2nd row – 6 PR (12)
Row 3 – (3 RLS, PR)*3 (15)
4-7 row – 15 RLS (15)
Row 8 – (3 RLS, UB)*3 (12)
9 row – 6 UB
Close the knitting. Cut the thread. We hide the end of the thread in the part.

Cherry “stick” (8 parts)
We measure out a piece of green yarn approximately 1.5 - 2 palms long. Then we make a regular knot, as for a chain chain. Now we knit with a double thread, putting together the measured tip and the main thread, as shown in the photo. We make 9 ch. Cut the thread, leaving the required length for sewing. Tighten the last loop. To attach the tail to the cherry, take a needle, insert one thread into the amigurumi ring, and the second into the adjacent loop, and bring both ends to the opposite side. And for now we leave these details until the design stage.
To make a double stick, cast on 10 ch, unroll the knitting and knit 1 sc in the second loop from the hook, then another 7 ch, fasten the thread and cut it off, leaving the required length for sewing on the cherry (taking into account the length of the berry itself) . To attach a double stick to the cherries, first sew one end to the first cherry, hooking one loop, then insert the needle into the cherry and bring it out at the place where the berry will be attached to the cake. We do the same with the second part, making sure that the chain of v.p. was not twisted.

Blueberry
Large (8-10 parts)
Row 1 – 5 sc in ring (5)
2nd row – 5 PR (10)
3-5 row – 10 RLS (10)
6th row – 5 UB (5)

Small (8-10 parts)
Row 1 – 5 sc in ring (5)
2nd row – 5 PR (10)
3-4 row – 10 RLS (10)
5 row – 5 UB (5)
Close the knitting. We cut the thread, leaving the required length for sewing.

Decor

The previous and subsequent photos clearly show the stages of decorating all the desserts. I’ll tell you separately about the cake. You can decorate it as shown in the photo, or you can decorate it to your taste by making a preliminary sketch. If you choose my option, then here is my mistake in the design - all the details are very scattered from each other. I needed to arrange them more carefully in order to ultimately form a “fruit-marshmallow” diagonal from all the details.
You should start decorating the cake with the largest parts, that is, marshmallows. Using pins, we attach them to the base, having previously considered the desired design. Then we sew it on. To avoid making external knots, bring out the ends of the thread of two adjacent parts in the same place, tie 2-3 knots from them and hide them in the part. We do this with a stretch, but make sure not to deform the cake itself. Cherries will be next. Again, try to attach the parts more compactly to each other so as not to repeat my mistake. You can always add, but cutting off the “extra” is more problematic and fraught with consequences. We are already adding blueberries as final accents, giving the “marshmallow-berry” wave a smoother and more complete shape.
When decorating cakes, we also use pins to secure the parts in “their” places. At the end I was left with a few “extra” parts. This is because during the design process, in my opinion, the desserts became too overloaded, so I decided to give up a few.
Smooth stitches and sweet mood to everyone! 😉

Today I’ll tell you how to crochet simple and small-sized toys - marmalades. The idea was to copy marmalade like “lemon drops”.
You will need a hook number 3.5 - 4 and multi-colored thread remnants.

Step 1.

  • interesting selection for the site!!!
  • An introductory article to amigurumi knitting. Basic techniques and simple toys.

Knit 6 single crochets into a ring of thread. Tighten the short end of the thread, indicated by an arrow in the figure. Knit a connecting stitch into the first single crochet stitch.

2nd row - 12 columns.

3rd row - 18 columns

4th row - 24 columns.

5 row - 30 columns.

Step 3.

Change the thread to a contrasting thread. In our case - on white. It is better to knit the connecting column in the 5th row with white thread. Then the transition between colors will not be so noticeable. We knit 1 row (sixth) with white thread, adding 6 stitches = 36 single crochets.

Step 4.

Change the thread to orange. We knit the connecting column of the previous row with orange thread.

Row 7 - 40 single crochets.

Step 5.

Fold the resulting circle in half and tie it with orange thread in single crochets.

The orange slice is ready! The length of this slice is only 6 cm. Excellent food for dolls! You can turn it into a keychain or pendant for your handbag or mobile phone.

Using this, you can knit a slice of watermelon. The red circle is knitted 2 more rows than for the orange slice. Then embroider “grains” on it with black thread. Tie the red circle first with 1 row of single crochets with a white thread (evenly adding 6 stitches), then with green thread. Fold the resulting circle in half and tie it in single crochets with green thread.

Hello.

Preparations for the New Year continue! Let's knit some candies to decorate the Christmas tree. Real candies will be eaten, but knitted ones will stay for a long time :)

We will need the remains of multi-colored yarn and a suitable hook. In my case it is 100% cotton, 50g / 225 m and hook number 1.5.

We cast on 23 air loops, close them with a connecting stitch into a ring and knit a row of single crochets.

Please note that I knit candies by inserting the hook not under the entire loop, but only behind one wall, so that I get some kind of “grooves” on the front side.

We simply skip, without knitting, every 3rd loop, that is, we knit single crochets into the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th loops of the previous row and so on...

The disadvantage of this method is the uneven knitting surface (see photo). Although this is not always noticeable, and in this case our knitted candy wrapper has the right to be a little wrinkled :)

First, as in the first case, we knit 2 single crochets into the 1st and 2nd loops, and then insert the hook into the 3rd loop, grab and pull out the working thread, and do the same with the 4th loop. We have 3 loops on the hook (see photo). Now grab the thread and pull it through all 3 loops on the hook. We got a crochet decrease.

Crochet decreases made in this way are almost invisible.

Decrease until there are 8 stitches left. We knit 1 row without changes, and then begin to add loops. To do this, we knit 2 tbsp in every 3rd stitch.

Add loops until your candy reaches the desired thickness. I have 23 loops.

Knit 1 row without changes, and then take a thread of a different color.

To make the color transition smoother, make the 1st loop, as shown in the photo:

Pull the working thread of the main color from the next loop and leave it on the hook. Pull a thread of a contrasting color through these 2 loops

and work a single crochet into the next stitch as usual.

Continue single crochet for 4 more rows.

Change the thread again and knit 1 row without decreasing. And from the next row, start making decreases, as at the very beginning.

When a small hole remains, fill the knitted candy with filling.

Continue making decreases (up to 8 stitches). Knit another row of 8 stitches and increase every 3rd stitch.

Knitted sweets: pastries and cakes. Description of crochet

Knitting food is one of the popular trends in knitting amigurumi toys; knitting all kinds of sweets is especially popular: desserts, cakes, pastries, cupcakes, donuts, candies, etc.

This hobby did not pass me by either :-)

Crochet cakes and pastries can be used as
- small but cute gifts,
- fridge magnet decorations,
- key rings or mobile phone pendants,
- toys for children (for playing in a store or in a cafe),
- small-sized cakes can be used to decorate hairpins and hair ties for girls.

To knit pastries and cakes you will need:

Remains of cotton yarn of various colors;
- remnants of thinner yarn (for example, Floss or Iris) - for knitting decorations (flowers and berries);
- a hook of a suitable size;
- filler (sintepon is best);
- ribbons, beads, etc. For decoration.
