First, continue knitting on 23 (25 - 27) 29 sts of the left half of the front = end of the row. In each next front row, at the beginning of the row, cast off 1 x 3 p. and 1 x 2 p. Then in each next front row, underline, decrease another 4 x 1 p. For underlined decreases, knit the 3rd and 4th p. together.

Good day, dear friends!

I don’t know about you, but with spring approaching, I want to quickly update my wardrobe by knitting a beautiful openwork women’s jumper. Don't want to join us?

I bring to your attention two beautiful melange jumpers with openwork patterns. Choose which one you like best, and quickly grab your knitting needles!

Jumper with large collar

I had my eye on this elegant melange jumper as soon as I started leafing through the magazine. “Knitting is your hobby”. The colors, patterns and styles are chosen so harmoniously that you will definitely not be deprived of the attention of others!

True, the description of the jumper is given only for European SIZES: 36/38 (ours are 42/44).

But if desired, by increasing the number of loops in accordance with yours, it can be knitted for a woman with a larger size.

According to the description, to knit a jumper you need to stock up on:

  • melange yarn ATELIER ZITRON: 450 g ECCO AQWAREL(100% merino wool, 110 m/50g) and bamboo knitting needles of the “Profi” brand No. 4.

If you don’t have bamboo knitting needles, I think regular ones will do just fine, as long as the numbers match. And you can choose a different yarn, otherwise you might end up without a jumper!

Just knit a larger swatch and see if you like the yarn and pattern combination or not. And the pattern here is not only openwork, but also with a wavy edge, like, I gave it a simple name - “Wavy”.

Knitting pattern “Wavy”

To knit a pattern sample, you need to cast on the number of loops that are a multiple of 13, add 1 loop for the symmetry of the pattern and 2 edge loops (26+1+2=29). And then knit according to the pattern below.

A small error crept into the pattern printed in the magazine (my first pattern crocheted using it did not match the pattern in the photo). I had to make an amendment.

Pattern pattern "Wavy"

KNITTING DENSITY: 22.5 loops and 22 rows - 10 x 10 cm.

Knitting back

Cast on 94 stitches on needles No. 4 and immediately begin knitting with the openwork “Wavy” pattern. After 38 cm (82 rows) from the beginning of knitting, we decrease 4 loops for the armholes on both sides and then in each 2nd row 1 time 2 loops, 2 times 1 loop.

After 16 cm (34 rows) from the beginning of the armhole, we close off the middle 36 loops for the neckline and finish both sides separately.

To round the neck, decrease from the inside in every 2nd row, first 2 loops, then 1 loop.

Knitting front

We knit the front in the same way as the back, only with a deeper neckline. To do this, at a height of 41 cm (88 rows) from the beginning of knitting, we close off the middle 22 loops and finish both sides separately.

To round the neckline, decrease from the inside in every 2nd row:

  • 1 time 3 loops;
  • 1 time 2 loops;
  • 5 times 1 loop.

At a height of 56 cm (122 rows) from the beginning of knitting, we close off the remaining 18 shoulder loops.

Knitting sleeves

We put 55 loops on the knitting needles and knit with an openwork pattern “Wavy”, adding 1 loop in every 8th row on both sides for expansion 12 times.

After 45 cm (98 rows) from the beginning of knitting, we close 4 loops on both sides for okat, then in each 2nd row 1 time 2 loops and 14 times 1 loop. At a height of 15 cm (32 rows), close off the remaining loops.

Product assembly

We make shoulder seams. For the collar along the neckline, we cast on 182 loops and knit 2 circular rows with purl loops, then 40 rows with an openwork “Wavy” pattern and 1 row with purl loops.

We close all the loops loosely. We sew side seams, sleeve seams, and sew in sleeves. The first jumper is ready!

A beautiful and delicate melange jumper caught my eye in the knitting magazine “Sabrina”. The flared silhouette and vertical openwork stripes will make your figure slimmer and more expressive in this jumper!

SIZES are pleasing: 36/38 (40/42), in the Russian version it is 42/44 (46/48).

YOU WILL NEED: 450 (500) g green-turquoise melange yarn STOP PRINT (50% microfiber, 50% viscose, 105 m/50 g), as well as straight and circular needles No. 4.

At the same time, to give shape, in the 19th row in each strip of the purl stitch we knit 2 loops together from 10 loops, on the knitting needles 89 (97 loops).

We repeat these decreases 5 more times in every 12th row, there are 69 (77) loops on the needles.
